QUOTE(chris_x @ Feb 23 2009, 09:57 AM) my friend who open accessories shop recommend me one type, not sure what brand, but the feature is like-if anybody break through you car, your phone will notice you, -have a speaker inside and you can warn the thief, -you can cut the engine within 2 - 5km (im not sure the range) i think it doesn't have GPS tracking, price is around RM1.5k++, |

QUOTE(sysh @ Feb 26 2009, 06:21 PM) Crap.. my internet d/c'ed when I pressed sent. Im glad that you are still a good happy customer to PPS. to me.... i would felt different. i just washed my car just now.... Anyhow.. here goes again. IMHO, I think the PPS is worth the amount (tho a bit pricy). Advantages noted: 1) easy to wash the car (30 - 40 mins, from start to dry..plus wheels) 2) still retains its shiny look, but less of its 'smoothness' though What I noted though, 1) It's not as smooth as waxing again (expected), but the shine compensates for it. 2) The claim of the 'water-beading' is overrated, but as compared to my bro's NHC.. mine has more water beads, but nothing to shout about. 3) It doesn't help with marks left by bird shit, I have one tiny spot where the bird shit landed.. dunno how to get rid of that stain (only visible at close up) 4) feel good factor, ppl always look at my car quite shiny when i go to work.. So, at the end of the day.. it's up to you and how you take care of your car. Do note that you need to send your car back for maintenance every 6 - 9 months and it will set you back RM80 - RM100. Personally, I will send it back say 9 months time since I constant clean my car with the recommended pH balanced soap. Also to note that PPS DOESN'T protect your paint from stone chips, gum or bird shit or deep scratches. That one, you might need the 3M Scotchgard which will put you back RM2,500 just for the front end of your car. The choice is yours. as for water beading.... not as good as expected.... I am suspecting that i wash out the teflon...... as for shining..... i admit it is shine........ but due to my experience after having 4 car previously....... your car sure will shine after a car wash with a good car shampoo.... and i am not a hardworking car washer last time...... my last car wira black also didn;t wash it for a month but after wash by the outsider.... it is still shine ....... but now the NHC....... i shampoo wash it every 3 to 4 days or when neccessary......... sometimes after rain...... will splash the pipe water to rinse out the acid rain and wipe it dry. The smoothness are sure not there..... so i am not sure this invest are successful or not. Maybe if you are reading my post to see whether wanna invest to PPS or not....For my opinion...... you must know what is your main reason to invest in PPS. Last time before i do PPS... my objectives is "yea..... finally got something which after applying....no need to wash car so often or wax/polish car so often already(coz i am a lazy driver), and it said... you car will 'SHINE' forever with just 1 time application (didnt mention need to reapply every 6 - 9 month if not mistaken) but after applying only know..... need to go back every 6 - 9 month (like what i did last time to polish/wax), need to wash out the bird shit immediately if got (also same like what i did last time), so if your objective is to lazy or save money ...... i think PPS......... but if your objective is "I want my car color to be protected and the color will not "luntur" or damages by so cal "acid rain", bird shit, haze or etc...." then PPS is a good choice, sorry....... didnt meant to offence....... |

QUOTE(johnnysh @ Mar 22 2009, 11:36 AM) Great to see at such a early stage the All new Honda City owners are already actively starting a club and TT gatherings.. Look forward to meet you all and attend the coming TT. I changed from the earlier City to this all new City. Just curious, and apprecaite if anyone can give some answers to the following :- 1) How, where to install the door auto lock and how much ? 2) Why does the car alarm when arm or unarm, is silent ? Any way to have the alarm beep besides the indicator lights ? 3) When the alarm goes off, its rather soft, anyway to make it louder ? Thanks.. Johnny - KL 1. our group got organize a group installing beore this, price range is around RM100 2. the alarm is original came like that, so no way to modify yet, unless you install other alarm system. 3. yes... because the alarm position placed at the back boot, some of us here already moved it other place... so the alarm will sound louder |
