Using maps sign for unlimited la bro.

guys do u notice something. the camera also consume internet data. 1kb will be gone for each photo taken. although 1kb = 1 cent. but still money rite? lol

if location services turned on, then i guess every photo taken will be geotagged.
thus explains why the need of internet data.

location service is using GPS data...
even i off internet, my photo still captured with GPS info

distance app still able to measure distance...

then it is back to square one ... if that's the case, why does the camera needs to connect to the net?

try using flickr. they support geotagged pictures.

camera doesn't connect to the net.
My cellular data network is still 0 byte even after I took a lot of pictures and they were all geotagged.
u try to disable ur data connection like 3G and EDGE.

i tried picasa, but it does not support iphone GPS photo (i confirmed my iphone photo incl GPS data as i chk fm iphoto & preview) after i uploaded.

wat 2 do is wait iphoto 09 den...

after u uploaded to the picasaweb, it will show the location u took the picture...in the application itself dun have map, but u can see there is GPS location information in the EXIF.

Omg, this is scary, i cant afford the data plan. Any way to totally disable the auto connection to the internet via camera gps and other softwares included in the iphone? Coz i just ordered one yesterday.

Thanks for the info, i actually read the threads stickied. I was only worried about the camera gps part on whether it will consume bandwidth. Sorry, coz i havent actually gotten the iphone. Just ordered yesterday. Not sure if you can turn of the camera gps part to just use camera without geotagging
