I have a question.
If JPA sponsors us to Australia for undergraduate but can't find a job for ask, we are technically freed from bond, right?
Lets say I'm interested to go back to Aussie for graduate studies in MEDicine, can I apply for permanent visa and pursue the course under the 'Commonwealth supported places' scheme?
It would be much cheaper and affordable if we could do so, as in we only hafta pay domestic fees.
Did anyone apply to be Commonwealth supported? Is it hard to get a permanent visa? I hope someone would give an imput on this.
Thank you

I will answer your question on grad med. I'm assuming you are doing your undergrad degree in australia, which then, depending on what field you do will most probably qualify you for PR.
However, bear in mind that Commonwealth supported places are highly sought after since you have to pay less than 10grand/year, especially in med. You WILL be competing against the locals to get in, (ie. those that are unable to get into the undergrad course, or those who changed their minds). Depending on your university of choice, I'm sure most of them would demand at least a 75% average throughout your undergrad degree, a satisfactory mark in your GAMSAT and a superb interview.
Naturally, it will be easier to get into med through the international quota (you are dealing with people getting with TERs of <99.8, who can't get into undergrad med), so think wisely before jumping straight to be a PR and then turn out disappointed.
