Sigh I'm not a really big fan of cooking. I don't believe in spending ages over cooking and then finishing it up in less than 20 minutes - doesn't seem that worth the effort. dry.gif
That is exactly what I'm doing - my college does twinning with RMIT, so I'm going there on my 3rd year (which is on the next sem).

Oh, mind to tell what program are you doing? Is it IT?

Sorry didn't see your question earlier.. I'm doing Econs & Finance. You're doing IT is it?
Yeah I want to own one so I can get around without relying on public transport.. but then I gotta see for myself first la, like where I'm staying, how far is it from my uni, public transport's efficiency, etcetc.

Oh, I guess you are now studying in Taylor. I'm doing Computing, but syllabus is more or less the same with IT I suppose.

Thinking to transfer to RMIT is year 3, just don't know if it's possible or not.

Normally what airline do you guys choose? I am going to Brisbane

I have surveyed AA, SIA and MAS, AA provide uo tp 30kg baggage allowance but SIA & MAS only up to 20KG, the only problem with AA is it land on Coolongatta Airport but not Brisbane International Airport.

Any advise?

I saw someone posted about SIA provide 40kg baggage allowance but have to buy the ticket in SIA office, I try calling them so many times, but always line busy. :S

I am!

Maybe you can try out MAS GRADS @ http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en/loyal/grads/grads.aspx .

I bought the tix for RM2116 for one way flight to Brisbane from KL. Return flights with validity of one year available too at much cheaper rate. The hassle is to apply the card itself and going to cost you RM25. Compare to normal price fare, you still get it cheaper.

Btw, anyone got ISIC card? Is it useful for students when we in Aussie?

Rgds,

Is it normal for one to start paying rent end of Jan eventhough he arrived there on the second week of feb?

It sounds ridiculous for me, but I wonder if it is how it works. Now it's like buying durian, renting a room that I haven't seen it with my eyes.

Then some peoples said, if I start looking for room when I reach there, most of the nice rooms will be occupied, left those expensive or not so nice 1.

Anyone experience this?

Do you normally look for room only when you reach?

What I'm concern here is, will it be too late if I start looking at the rooms when I reach, because I heard that most lease start end of jan, unless no one pick it up.
