Back when I was doing my SAM in 2006, the March intake like you mentioned, is a 8-months long program. However, AFAIK you don't actually get 8 months to complete what the others (Jan intakes) cover in 12 months. Correct me if I got it wrong, but I reckon you are supposed to be at the same level of progress by the mid-year examination, meaning after the mid-year exam, there shouldn't be anymore difference in terms of academic progress in the course between Jan and March intakes.

For the other part of your questions, it all depends on individual. But I would emphasize the key word here is being consistent, if you are able to perform consistently throughout the entire course duration, you should be fine. All the last minute cramming won't work too well though.

If that's what you are planning to do in uni, then it shouldn't be a problem in choosing any of their packages tailored for business studies. Accounting, Econs, IT, Legal Studies are all relevant and useful for your future studies in uni anyway, just choose whichever subject that you are more interested in taking.

For females, smaller saloons cheapest I know is $25 and if you want rather good saloon (Asian stylist) can cost up to $50 especially popular Japanese saloons. Yes its expensive and don't talk about chemical treatments yet =)

Actually, not as daft as it sounds. One of my friends got a hair cut kit for Christmas, and I do know people who have not stepped into a barber in yonks, simply because cutting hair is damn expensive in Australia. As people have mentioned, prices average about $10-15 for a simple cut. Still cheaper to buy a kit and cut yourself.

For guys, probably get used to longer hair than you would in Malaysia. For gals............any gals want to chip in something for the front page?

Of course. I've friends not only in Aust but also in the UK who cut each other's hair as well.

It all depends on your expectations... If you just want a little trim, then ka ki lai or just a cheapo one will do. If you want stylish designs then prepare to fork out 30-50 or even more. For guys it's probably less of a hassle as most male students aren't too fussy about their hair as long as it's neat, except metrosexuals of course. For girls most of them would prefer a proper hairdresser, usually run by Koreans in big cities like Melb or Syd, with the fear of messed up haircuts.

I have tried AUD7 haircuts before, done by hairdressing students. It's quite worth the money if you're not too fussy; yet I stopped going there because the quality is not consistent and depends on the "level" and expertise of the student.

I won't say cutting hair in Australia is THAT expensive - in fact it's the same number if you don't convert. If you convert then almost everything is expensive, except cars and ipods.

Sometimes you convert back = Quite reasonable . For like expensive electronic stuffs. It's maybe Rm1000 in Malaysia but maybe it's only $450 in Aus . Lets make it 1:2 ratio . It's around Rm900+ only . Apple stuff is definitely cheaper in Australia

Australian Apple products are cheaper than most other countries in the world, and probably US too if you know where and when to hunt for good deals. AUD 100+ for ipod nano... where to find except in Aussie?

As for the exchange rate of 1:2.... nah... it's probably stable around 2.4-2.5 for now, so your $450 gadget will be slightly more expensive than the RM1000 counterpart. Nevertheless, it was 2.34 on Tues but only for that one day tongue.gif

I will go to sydney UNSW in this month but I still searching for the accommodation. I am starting worries about that because most of the colleges and university apartment have been reached the capacity.

I still dunno where to live when I arrive there.
Anyone can help me?

Like what i said last time.Get the temporary accommodation sorted out. Then, look for a place yourself or you found some friends to find with you. It's very hard to get an accommodation in UNSW colleges as some of them have high demands like one Distinction per semester or there is a very long waiting list which is almost impossible to get.

There should be a form behind your prospectus to request ISS to give you a temporary accommodation for short term like a week or 2.Probably look for the form in some UNSW site.Probably the ISS site.

Those places will probably cost you 200AUD per week.Pretty expensive but it's better than staying in hotel.

I stayed in a Monastery last year, during the first week im there.
