QUOTE(lolsushi @ Jan 20 2009, 02:36 PM) haha... i thought you asking can it "bite" vios.... if you ask that... i will say... "yes"~~This morning, My SA suddenly gave me a call, said got black E and ask me to prepare money, he said he will collect in the afternoon, damm shocked.... never expect so early as he told me need to wait until march. somemore my prefer color. deposit and agreement already signed, and tommorrow need to go to JPJ to buy plate number, and car will ready in this thur or fri. but too bad,.... i will put it in the showroom first and only collect it when i came back after cny. argh.... so... he said will give me RM500 ecotint voucher, said it is '6mil' at all side mirror, and give the best on front and rear mirror. around rm1.5 - 1.7k after the discount if not mistaken. then my other fren who doing tint said if 6 mil cannot fit the side mirror as too thick and it will stuck, he said 6 mil can bulletproof already. hahaha and he said he can give 4mil and good tint at front and rear... cost around 1.3 - 1.4k (dunno wat cool....) so what do you guys think?? how about the wax thing? anyone can simplified the result? |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jan 21 2009, 10:15 PM) Unfortunately, PPS still does not protect your car from stone chips that will still scratch your car. Also I'm curious, does it make your car immune to swirl marks? I don't think so right? but i heard know already got a product from taiwan which can also protect the paint from minor scratches like coin or stone. |

QUOTE(love_hina @ Jan 27 2009, 02:23 PM) he offer rm1k for tinting (to blacken the car mirror using spray type???) spray type??? can provide more info on this??2400 for leather seats what u guys think? hey guys, i need to do a urgent decision within this few days on tinting my new babe, please give some summary on your info. thanks what i got here now is 2 offer, 1, ECOTINT (been told is korea paper by other accessories shop but SA told me is US paper)- Hybrid 6 with raybarrier in front and rear. means 6 mil thickness security film (i am not sure but he got show me the sample, he said sure will give that one and not like show this and give that) Warranty 8 years, Visible light reflected - 10%, ultraviolet rejection - 99.5%, infrared rejection - 90%, Total solar heat rejection is 56% [RM1.5k after all discount] 2. Powercool (not sure what paper but been told is US paper), 4mil thickness ( The accessories boss very keen to say ECOTINT 6 mil maybe not 6mil, because the shop owner said 6mil cannot fit the window, even 4mil already very hard to fit.) how many % rejection i got no idea as they do not provide sample, but the shop owner is one of my friend. [RM1k] if you got other suggestion, please help me...... thanks |

QUOTE(keii-kun @ Jan 30 2009, 09:11 PM) hi guys, yes... what i get the quote is RM1.5k with security tint 6mil for side windows and raybarrier for front and rearsince some of us already receiving NHC and some are still waiting, i guess one thing we as new owner need to decide on tinting. based on feedback i've seen here : vkool quality degrading (some case) vkool getting rusty stain after 5 years (found feedback in other forums) therefore, asking you guys on the tinting choice you had planned. what i have here vkool elite (94% infrared rejection) RM2200 (quote by SA) vkool elite (94% infrared rejection) RM1950 (quote by one forumer here) ecotint raybarrier (95% infrared rejection) RM1500 (quote by one forumer here) 3M safetint (99% infrared rejection) RM2000 (based on ZeroSP input) i'm looking at ecotint, but also wanted to know other brand like rikecool, aircool and etc. is there any other option to be considered? can i know...... infrared rejection 95%means the heat rejection?? so it will be cooler? is that mean 3M can provide cooler condition under sunlight? QUOTE(dinozilla @ Jan 30 2009, 09:58 PM) I oso got no issue to overtake with CVT actually....... what is CVT?its all the matter of fact whether u can catchup with tech.... jz like u suddenly as a user of normal dummy phone, with simplest interface, change to a PDA smartphone, with full loads of new features.... how can he/she handle well at beginning? same theory...don treat CVT as ur conventional auto gearbox....treat it as CVT if u do it right, i don think it has issue accelerate faster than NHC but no doubt from spec, NHC has better advantage on pick-up......at beginning |

QUOTE(foocy2001 @ Jan 31 2009, 01:22 PM) Agreed with Captor RF. Those who're interested go to : http://www.netstar.com.my/ Interestingly, Proton cars come equipped with Captor RF as optional (i think, correct if I'm woring). Most owners don't even realise this. QUOTE(W.ROOK @ Jan 31 2009, 02:54 PM) Earlier in the forum someone recommended T-Rex(steering lock with an alarm). Anyone use or install any of above?? can share please??I might buy one of this. A little bit pricey but looks promising. Will get more info before purchase one. Probably it wont be as good as the captor but it is transferable and does not require wiring installation. On top of that this T-Rex might solve our "muted" alarm problem.! [URL=//http://www.megacell.com.my/products/ch960g.asp] and anyone can share more about the waxing thing? |

QUOTE(1282009 @ Jan 31 2009, 11:13 PM) For "security tint" for 4 side windows, what are the recommended brands? Does Ecotint has this "security tint" as well? yes, ecotint does have the security film, called hybrid version, if not mistaken got hybrid 4 and hybrid 6 which the number represent the mil, 4 mil or 6 mil etc. Some mentioning abt the RM1.5k package for Ecotint (front/rear are ray barrier). i am the one who mention the front and back raybarrier. and yes... my SA is my fren and he offer the best deal to me.... About the "PPS", anyone can explain how many brand are available out there? and how much? About the GPS security, anyone can explain too?? thanks |

QUOTE(andyjyneo @ Feb 1 2009, 01:26 AM) I'll explain on GPS security then. thanks for the info andy, how much probably will it be for this system?? and you really think it is worth of installing that? do you think i should concern about where my house located? currently without guardhouse terrace, but will be moved to "with guardhouse terrace" in month of august or sept i think. so i assumed if i install this system will only helps me during when i am in outside??CAPTOR is one of the best GPS security system you can find in Malaysia. They're running on 2 frequencies. One is RF (Radio Frequency) and GPS/GSM. If you subscribe to both, they'll use one of them (whichever is stronger signal). If RF is no longer available, they'll switch to GPS/GSM network, and vice versa. For GPS/GSM network, they're using Digi, and you'll be given a Digi simcard to insert into the GPS security system. When theft incident happens, you need to contact them to locate your car. DO NOT tell the thieves/robbers that you've CAPTOR because this will give them a chance to disable/unplug. CAPTOR will work together with police force to recover your car. The chance of recovering your car is around 90% (according to them), but they don't guarantee of vandalism, arson, etc. QUOTE(LunaCry @ Feb 1 2009, 01:35 AM) I have some worries here bout the thick security film. yes, this is what i am worried too.... What is accident happen, can we break the window from the inside to escape assume that the door jam. QUOTE(andyjyneo @ Feb 1 2009, 01:51 AM) Don't worry, my friend. Security films only work on blunt objects, like helmet, baseball bats, bricks, etc. if you have seen the demo video for security tint type video, they will always start breaking it with hard object like helmet, brick etc, and not sharp object like screwdriver or etc.If you take a screwdriver and knock, it'll still break. i believe this info will same goes to the thieves as well, i wonder they will straight away break the glass and use screwdriver to poke in. About the "PPS", thanks to foocy2001 for explaining, i think i don;t really care about the paint, only lazy to do the polishing and waxing all the time, if i got time to wash the car already consider very good, hahaha so really wish that the car will always keep the shining look. for PPS, what i got to know now is the www.shinenshield.com, which used by few of our forumer here, does this mean this will be the best already? i think i will be go for that too.. if you are one of the user.... please do some review here after all the post read, found few things that need to do once i got the car. 1. will do the security tinted RM1500 (mostly will go for Ecotint if no other best recommend anymore) Not voiding warranty 2. will do PPS RM600(mostly will go for shinenshield if no other best recommend anymore)Not voiding warranty 3. will do the auto-central locking RM130 as said by one of the forumer here (should be the best choice so far) Voiding warranty for central lock i think. above is must do within 1 month, so will cost me around RM2300 below is after 3 - 6 month 4. will do body kits modulo or other available around RM2000 5. changing the rims around RM2000+- after 12month, i think i will start doing some internal mod due to some lack of the performance of this car. what do you all think?? please comment. |
