Hey Travies, where did you get the leather seat cover done? Mind sharing? How long does it take for it to be ready? Thanks.

The 2009 City by far is the best deal in the market for this segment of cars. Great looks, good features at a great price.

Standard price for S-spec is RM84,980 and E-Spec is RM89,980.

Best deal around depends on you shopping around. It's a buyers market. Your nego skills (and your SA's willing to give deals to you) will determine the best deal. Expect to get nothing...and get everything you can! Various people get varied things along with their ride. Nothing is standard. Just need to open mouth and ask the SA and twist his arms a bit. He refuse, then walk away.

thanks for the info.
so far manage to only get rm500 discount. but i feel that's not the only thing. need to know wat kind of goodies can be expected. couldnt b beating around the bush n ask for stuff nvr exist right? expect to hv something like full tank petrol?? smart tag?? umbrella?? tint shop voucher (even though not quite logical). the show room i went offer v-kool package at RM1800, 4mil tint sheet with no gps. thinking to get secure film. read from previous post that there's a promotion with tint shop that comes with a free garmin gps. is it still around n is it secure film?
test drived the car n loved the tiptronic during down hill. though not quite usefull during overtaking as flooring the pedal feels more than enough.

Combination of both highway and town driving... That said, driving in the town's these few days has been a breeze, no cars on the roads in KL.! hehe

Looks like you already know what you can ask for... a tank's worth of petrol, tinting discounts, smart tags are some of the more common items.. Some fellow posters here also ask for stuff like free door visors, boot trays, etc. No hard and fast rule when it comes to these things, depends on your negotiation skills bro!

How long is the waiting period for a honda city right now btw?

What's ur location..if you're in KL, can always hook you up with my SA. Think should be able to get more than the RM500 that your SA offer, though less than RM1000. I also got a Honda T-Shirt and an Umbrella. Think it's pretty good though since he got my car pretty fast and managed to get a reasonable number plate w/o extra payment smile.gif

I'm thinking WinGard or RikeCool.. about RM1600+, 4mm security tint for all 4 door mirrors and tint for rear and front windshield (though need to get the specs on this)
