Imagine if you use a continental. Then so happens that your windscreen breaks... Wah, how long are you going to wait, seriously?

I remember last time, my cousin's Audi waited 1 month for his new windscreen to arrive from Germany. They said they don't have stock in Malaysia, so have to order directly from Germany. During this period of 1 month, you've to leave your car at home for good. What if you've only 1 car? Take 1 month unpaid leave?

CVT really does provide a smooth and comfortable ride BUT it's really sad when you wanna overtake the car in front.

Interesting....booked today and you can get in March. I wonder if your SA is telling you the truth or if lots of people cancelling their orders.

Certain things you can get the service center to replace for free or done free on the 1st service.

- Tightening your handbrake
*
Heard the service sifu said it was due to disc brakes which is not as tight as the drum breaks... same "problem" with Civic or Accord? So I didn't do any adjustment on it.

If you park under hot sun for 3 hours or more then it will still no different from a non-tinted car but If it's 2 hours or less, heat buildup won't be as much as a non-tinted car. The other big difference is your air conditioning will cool down the car much faster than a non-tinted car would.

1. True for now.
2. False
3. True but if there's any company with the financial power to match Honda in Malaysia, it's Naza. They have the capability to have SC in both major and minor towns.

One more thing, from a business standpoint - If they cannot secure the major towns yet, why bother with the small? If they are successful in major cities, the next logical step would be to expand into smaller towns. I've actually did some reading around the web on Peugeot 407, and so far - Naza's got a solid product on their hands and the only thing that seems to be letting down is their customer service. I was surprised to read that spare parts are readily available with the longest lead time being 3 days.

If the 308 is anything like the 407, it's pretty certain they'll have another winner on their hands. I don't even need to name the kind of advantages the 308 has over the City - it's just too numerous for the price they're offering to customers and it's a conti.

You should be glad that the competition is stepping up the heat on Honda and Toyota. That means both brands can no longer just fall back on their brand strength to push sales and actually offer more bang for the buck product to entice customers. That's good news for us as consumers.

The New 308 really tempting. drool.gif
But one major concern about these contis...maintanance.
Other than that I really like the car.

Consider which car have higher resale value, low FC and easily obtain spare parts is best for Malaysian.

Did you have the window stain issue on all your windows?

Additionally, has anyone got problems with very loud tyre noise when driving?

hi guys,

since some of us already receiving NHC and some are still waiting, i guess one thing we as new owner need to decide on tinting. based on feedback i've seen here :

vkool quality degrading (some case)
vkool getting rusty stain after 5 years (found feedback in other forums)
therefore, asking you guys on the tinting choice you had planned.

what i have here

vkool elite (94% infrared rejection) RM2200 (quote by SA)
vkool elite (94% infrared rejection) RM1950 (quote by one forumer here)
ecotint raybarrier (95% infrared rejection) RM1500 (quote by one forumer here)
3M safetint (99% infrared rejection) RM2000 (based on ZeroSP input)

i'm looking at ecotint, but also wanted to know other brand like rikecool, aircool and etc.

is there any other option to be considered?

I oso got no issue to overtake with CVT biggrin.gif

its all the matter of fact whether u can catchup with tech....

jz like u suddenly as a user of normal dummy phone, with simplest interface, change to a PDA smartphone, with full loads of new features....
how can he/she handle well at beginning?

same theory...don treat CVT as ur conventional auto gearbox....treat it as CVT thumbup.gif

if u do it right, i don think it has issue accelerate faster than NHC
but no doubt from spec, NHC has better advantage on pick-up......at beginning

I dunno what the deal is with Audi but that's perhaps why it didn't do so well the first time it entered Malaysia. As I have already said, judging from the response for the 407 - it looks like spare parts are in abundance right now. And the quoted cost for standard items seem no different from the stock Japanese marque items.

Continental cars sold here have been tropicalized for use with our climate. If BMW, Merc and other European marque had problems with heat all the time, who do you is going to buy them? Look at Singapore, there's a healthy mixture of different car marques down there, people don't seem to have a problem with them. Don't tell me Malaysia climate is so special that breakdown is more frequent here?

Anyway, since this is a NHC thread, it's kind of pointless to say much more lest I offend people biggrin.gif
