Just launch GMXT and use as usual ? Sorry ya, I'm only a basic GMXT user, not sure how to use much of the features.  blush.gif

How does it alert ? Beep Beep sound ? or flashing screen ? or ... ?

Today My N82 cannot get into the Contact list via the icon. I can click on other icons and go to the application. Only cannot access to the Contact list.
How to solve this type of problem?

Try restarting the phone. If it fails, do a soft reset.
I have tried to off and on the phone many times. Take out battery and put back inside.

actually if there's someone to help u, it would be much easier
1. off ur device
2. u press and hold the "*", "3", and "call (green)" button
3. ask someone to power on ur device
4. wait until you see the nokia welcome screen (handshake)
5. release those buttons
6. if it asks you for language, time, date etc then you know you're doing it rite

try and let us noe if there's any problem icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Using *#7370# also will go to step 6.
Is this the same as your step 2?

no it's not the same
there's a technology in N82 which is called UDP
if u use *#7370#, ur contacts, msges etc which are stored in phone is still available
however, applications installed in phone memory would be erased
this is wat we call as soft format
hard format..everything including ur contacts, msges etc would be erased
*
Which one is hard reset *#7780# or *#7370#?

If you send your N82 to Nokia Service Center for firmware upgrade, they will upgrade it to V 30.0.019 only. They will not upgrade it to V 31.
Mine just upgraded by them this morning.

For me, on V20 - lock on time was 2 mins. On V30 - lock on time is 45 secs.
I am on V30 now. No idea on V31 lock on time.

I just sent my phone to Nokia Service Center for the upgrade on 3 Feb. They loaded V30 for me. When I asked them why not V31, they said they only have V30. Not sure when they will have V31 in their Service Center.
