Better not to upgrade until the official log is out then, since there are hiccups here and there in the latest firmware.

Quite a number of N82's got bricked whilst trying to get this update.
N82 V31

You know why? Cause they install alot of junk onto its phone which clash with the update. I had always format my phone first b4 i update so all the while is working well.

shuyin1946, you have update your n82 to v31?

I can see a great potential of this update so far i notice the music player improvement the bass is getting heavy compare with the previous version, the rotation mechanism is working back to normal as i find is not responsive compare with V30, some slight improvement on the speed, and the calling bug in V30 is gone for good which when some times hang up some calls the phone just freeze for the moment. What for we care bout the official log? End up we got itchy hearts to update the phone also.

I think it's because you keep playing around with the phone after updating to v31. So, maybe that's why battery drains so fast

Yea. I just finish downloading Nokia Software Updater. Tomorrow I will update to v31 as my laptop using wifi now. scare line not so stable during firmware updating

Hahaha Kia Si la u. The software update wont update ur phone b4 the firmware file is complete downloaded. even u unplug ur phone during the downloading period ur phone still working fine. Just after the download complete u better dont unplug it. Got that?

Just reached home and updated mine already. So far I dont see any major changes yet~

my nokia earphone when using at the n82 ..works fine
but if i plug in at my sony mp3,i will only hear the music..cannot hear people sing.can hear a little.
but it works good if hearing a karoeke version of the song.can hear the vocal very clear

it happened to me as well, I guess is the N82 detect it as the dedicated handsfree so it will output different signal to it, but other mp3 player won't. Notice the phone never ask u to choose enhancement when u plug the handsfree in ya ?

Some ppl tested it working, i am not going to try since i have developer cert or root cert installed in v20 last time. most of them hack it because of installserver as they wana patch over the original one so that they can install unsigned apps.

Things I noticed in V31 after testing it.

1. Bass in Music Player seems stronger.
2. Hang after long call dont exist anymore (my fren called me and ask me to teach her to play a game and we talked for quite long and no hang noticed after end the call)
3. Seach: Internet and My content changed from Yahoo to Google!

I got one more bug and it always happen, when you are listening song, suddenly there is a call or a message, will ur phone froze then startup?
