QUOTE(kingkong81 @ Jan 18 2009, 08:15 PM) Totally agreed. No one can predict what earnings result that will be out in next week. Obama inauguration is just temporal rally if there is. Most of bad data has been priced in as everyone knew about it. Just they didn't knew how bad magnitude of it. If there is element of bad surprise for example BoFA and Citigroup being nationalised, it would be a bad news and market will react negatively to it. Even Obama has said, economic won't recover in single night. It take very long path and slowly.. I would say "Buy on dips, sell on rally" |

QUOTE(YuNGSeNG @ Jan 18 2009, 09:06 PM) Just for asking, normally KLSE performance is affected by NYSE performance, so if we know NYSE performance then we can predict the KLSE performance right ? Actually mostly people look into Dow Jones index(NYSE also correlated with DJIA).For example, tomorrow(monday) KLSE open time is 9am. So before KLSE open, what time in Malaysia is the NYSE closing time ? Usually yes, KLSE index will depend on how DJIA closed in previous day. But somehow KLSE detached from it as local political news does affect KLSE performance. In short, KLSE has its own internal issues that need to be address. DJI closed at 6am/our localtime(daylight saving), or 5am/local time(non daylight saving). |

QUOTE(Vv.SoViEt.vV @ Feb 5 2009, 11:23 AM) wat premium? i tot he bot in at 0.1 sell at 0.15. That 50% already. Premium is the price u pay when you want to convert to mothershare rite? Yup, correct. In this case premium is ard 85%. Means mothershare need to rise 85% in next 3 months. Else this warrant gonna expired out of money. So, it is purely speculation / goreng. High risks. PetroCh-CA is ard 50% but it have longer expire date. Much safer than C8. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Feb 10 2009, 09:11 PM) lol guess what, singapore has come up with T+38 scheme. Haha, im going to post this up. But seem you faster than me. "Investors could buy a stock at a margin that ranges between 5 and 20 per cent of the cost of each lot. They then have up to 38 days to settle the ES contract with the actual securities, which is 35 days longer than for normal securities investments. If I am reading this right, the ES contracts will allow for going long and going short on margin - beautiful." read about it at http://malaysiafinance.blogspot.com/ Anyway, KLSE need to come out something to beat it up. How about T+50 and only paid 10% cost of it..lol |
