I'm a noob in OC-ing. So I hope some pro can help me with my question. Does OC-ing CPU have to consider optimizing RAMs as well? (by tweaking FSB to match the CPU:RAM ratio) If I OC-ed my CPU to 4.33GHz, but the RAM is DDR2 800, that will not make a good ratio right?

click the link as ezzydamvp show, no need to create a new topic and from your signature, that is impossible for u to OC-ed a e8200 at 4.33ghz, while able to set it run at ddr-800

Its best imo, if u set unlink, oc ur CPU to a desired frequency, then only oc the ram, as some rams like KVR cannot go above 857

The lowest ratio intel based chipsets can go is 1:1, nvidia based chipsets can be unlinked to allow separate clocking, however there are bugs and so called "holes" in the settings Refer to the pinned thread, thanks. //Closed This post has been edited by bryanyeo87: Jan 14 2009, 12:24 AM
