Is it tru that if we use a heat sink will improve ram overcloaking as I did some research most of
the overcloaker's do for better performance's.
What are the pro's and con's of doing it so?

QUOTE(aperd1 @ Jan 12 2009, 09:44 AM) Guz, ram sink doesn't improve ocing but more to improve cooling ur ram...coz when ur ocing proc n ram what u do is adding more voltage to them so more voltage more heat....that is when this heat sink come to reduce the heat coming from ur overclocked ram same goes for ur proc with third party coolers like cooler master, xigmatek, thermalright and xtra2....summore now performance ram alredy have heat sink on them alredy only value ones doesn't have it...btw u do no how to use google rite.... agree with tkh,if u wan the best cooling without break ur wallet, buy ram cooler with fan is definately better than u spend a lot of money to buy a ram heatsink,a good ram heatsink does not come cheap

for some ram kit , if we pump in over 2.1v we need to active cool it.
else the life span of the kit will be shorten due to overheating |

for me,the heatsink depends on the quality, some use normal double sided tape only.the heat trapped inside the chips itself, make it even hotter and kill ur rams even faster. good quality ones will hv real thermal tape to transfer heat to the metal heatsink. but nothing beats allngap ram cooler in my opinion.just tht more noise due to the fans only.
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/732591/+60?hl=ram%20cooler.... refer post #64..thts my ram cooler i bought from allngap |
