You forget that the good thing is that you have maximum air flow and heat dissipation.

For hardcore enthusiasts it also makes it easier for them to switch out parts biggrin.gif

Con: Dust!!!! Water!!! Or even worse, you trip on smth and crash down into your RM2K+ worth of hardware(almost happened to me once sweat.gif )

Oh and the airflow thing is only effective if you hv a fan blowing on your naked rig, otherwise its not much diff from a well ventilated casing

Okay guys, I would like to share something in this thread.

normal temperature in my old casing,

user posted image

the temperature is approximate 75 celcius for both cards in idle. 100% Fanspeed.

NOW,

With such ventilation, when the graphic cards is in idle,

2nd GPU = 50 celcius

1st GPU = 70 celcius.

again, 100% fan speed.

So pratically, the "Ventilation" only works for second card where as the first card hardly get some air to get into it although it has a Slot of gap.

But processor temperature do decrease.

Conclusion:

You need a fan to either blow in at the Graphic card fan blower OR blow out at the end of the graphic card where the heat emit.
