Before this I have problem with Vista 64 and still unresolved. So I downgrade to winxp64.

The problem is, I try to access WPA2 wireless LAN but everytime i put the password, it says that the key is invalid. But when i run LIVE Ubuntu cd, my pc managed to get to internet just like that (WOW) . So after 2-3 time reformat, reinstall and reupdate(which is very tedious work) vista, update and still got the same problem, I switched back to winxp64 which I feel more happier. It seems that my router, DIR-300 with dd-wrt is not Vista capable which is sad since I don't know how to install vista on my router sleep.gif.

I did some research (actually lot of research) and lot of forumer ask me to update the router firmware. Maybe I am not good enough using Vista and Vista lover please don't hate me.

i don't think it is your router problem. I am using Vista x64 myself, connected to a Linksys WRT54G router flashed with DD-WRT firmware. wireless security was set to WPA2 and yet I never have a single problem.

Did you somehow pressed the capslock?

Hi,

Only thing i can think of is drivers and the fact that Vista is forcing WPA on WPA2 security? Try setting up WPA instead or go to Setup the wireless handshake manually.

Cheers

I don't know about the driver fault but here is my method so far. Reformat and reinstall vista, use LAN to update then setup connection which is vista can automatically detect my router. Try to delete the profile and manually create it and later vice versa and change the router mode. As I said, I did a lot of research and here is one of it http://www.avforums.com/forums/networking/...ty-problem.html.

Actually i already used vista for about 2 week but suddenly this thing happen. First, the wireless will fail (can access to router only) if i insert usb flash drive. Then, after that vista fail to detect the password.

Well, the best part of windows is because things seem to just happen. It crashes. It's fixed but Vista is too much sleep.gif

P.S: I am using WL230 USB from Aztech as receiver.
