huhu...my KVR is like...Epsilon chips..if i read the small tag on the chips correctly...

cant find any database on google as well...is it a good chip? or issit the crappy one...which might be the answer of those poor RAM OC results..

They should be elpida i guess.
Certain batches of elpidas are pretty good, but on average they'll do 900.

If you're into something confirmed D9GMH, find soulreaver and get his 2nd hand A-datas.
Or you could get new ones from JY14 directly. But prices ain't cheap.

Besides that you can search for what alive88 mentioned, the Crucial 10th annivesary or double sided Crucial Ballistix/Tracers.
The 10th Annies are handpicked chips and theoretically will clock better. Btw, D9GMH only exist in 512mb and 1gb modules.

The others i'd recommend will be the team xtreems, but make sure they are of the earlier batches.

There are also a lot of other good rams out there.
You can also hunt for D9GKX which are even rarer than D9GMH.
These 2 chips are the legends which are easier available.

There are certain batches of Promos, Hynix and Elpida which clocks exceptionally well too, but they are so rare that not many knows which is which...tongue.gif

Yes, team xtreem can still get new, but the later batches of team xtreems are not as good as the older batches.
The older batches will hit 1200Mhz for most of the kits, but i heard the new batches max out around 1100Mhz.

These Rams below deserves extra attention imho
1.) Team Xtreem DDR800 CL3
2.) Team Xtreem DDR1066 CL4
3.) Crucial 10th Anniversary
4.) Cellshock DDR1000 D9GKX

If you can find any of them for a reasonable price, just grab it...Confirm no regrets.

Btw Bonchi, the V1.x dominators are really rare nowadays...

It can do 1200 CL4 but at........2.6vdimm or so smile.gif
Got lubang for Xtreem 1066 CL4??
Anyway,dorminator beware of something:
There are 8500 C5D Rev 1(This one double sided,100% D9GMH/D9GKX,very nicely bin)
One is 8500 C5DF or something like that Rev 1(Single sided ram, this is non D9)

on second thought....is Qimoda any good?....the corsair dominators 2.X are using them tho...according to the site...they say it performs well at lower voltages...not to the extend of 2.3 and above tho...however..im currently under budget for any confirmed D9GMH atm...only bet is on the corsairs at lowyat (RM220)...hopefully sri computer had older stocks...since i am familliar with the boss....hopefully....

tho...i only plan to let my RAM do 1066mhz...the ones i currently own is not stable even at 850mhz

i got one version 1.5....its single sided....im wondering issit micron's...but its 210 for a DDR2 1066mhz 5-5-5-15(single sided also)...anyway..if its micron or not..it doesnt matter anymore coz ive already bought it...spent the whole day hunting and this is the only version 1.X i can find...most of the crucial and team group RAMs are not available...which is quite disappointing(tiring also as my legs are cramped from all the walking)

i wonder if any of you guys happen to stumble upon some ppl around MMU, selling so called factory rejected hardwares (mostly HDD) at very low prices...not sure if it'd work but the price is kinda tempting

putting that aside, there's one shop near stygix named cerberus selling oem HDDs very cheap too...however both of them doesnt support any warranties...which might be quite a prob. sad.gif

i wonder if there's any oem CPU sold there laugh.gif hehehehhe

No, procs lifespan will be reduce by heat, not clocks.

So, if u wanna oc, must have a decent cooler. I prefer idling below 40c for a Q6600. Mine idles at 35-38c at 3.6 (CPS9700) and 38c at 3.0GHz on stock cooler

Added on February 13, 2009, 6:30 pmBtw, is there OEM GPUs?

Yeap..heat totally can reduce the lifespan..and i oso read somewhere that besides heat, u oso need to maintain your vcore at a certain level too (not excessively high)..

Depends on the cooler also, I`ve managed to run my q6600 at a suicide 1.6v to reach 3.93Ghz on a WC before...

I think for the average user, should not exceed 1.5

well....as you see...higher vcore = more heat...so it doesnt matter at all...what affects the lifespan is still the heat in the end...btw..is sunbeam CFF any better than my arctic cooling Freezer 7 lapped?.....just wanna clarify...

speaking of Q6600....im prolly changing to Q6600 soon and im ready to let go my e4300 for RM180
