Atomix private server
Anyone want to try out Atomix private server, now have some basic English translation...:
- register at website http://bns.atomixro.com/ (registration page sometime might be down, just try at a later time)
- don't bother with their forum as too much newbie spam the same question over and over and over, got problem ask here or PM me
- total file size 5.2GB... no more file available on file-hosting website... so go look for torrent now...

Game performance:
My rig (i5 2500k, HD6850) : 1920x1080 max everything. 2xAA, 8xAF on graphic driver. Average frame-rate 40fps, sometime drop below 30fps.
My laptop (Intel CU7300, G210M) : go die!

Since this is just a beta client those guy at Atomix trying to reverse engineer it... (why you think NCSoft will hand the game to other people?):
- DESTROYER class is not playable yet, those guys at Atomix still trying to fix his skill
- main quest end on #14. Quest #15 cannot continue anymore. you should be Lvl 13 or Lvl 14 by then.
- several side-quests on later area cannot complete, just ignore and stop trying
- most functions not working- crafting, decompose, synthesis (now working), learn skill... so just go play quests and have fun with your girls
- if you stuck and cant move, press ESC > 1:1 > Can't Move > Move Now
- stop asking about CBT3 on Atomix and wait

Running the game:
- the zip file contain game client and launcher
- highly suggest you get the latest launcher from Atomix website, in case they did some update/modification
- Just run the launcher (NEVER run the game directly or it might break).

- click on the little arrow, properties, browse to the game folder / bin / Client.exe

Zombie monster?

You mean those little 僵尸... Something wrong with them? I don't have problem with those quests on that section on my first play through.

My biggest problem with this game is... MOVE!!!
Maybe it's just the default key mapping problem. I think "1,2,3,4" is not fluid enough
I guess I have a hard time with the key mapping as right hand on mouse is very limited... maybe go gamepad? Nvm CBT2 client still have gamepad option greyed out.

Oh I just read this somewhere: The type of loots players are rewarded in the game depends on how well they executed their moves to defeat the targets.

K, Atomix forum seems to back online... Can go there catch some bug if you want. Basically common stuff:
- some quest require you to deliver item you pick up visually (box, injured man)- you deliver the quest by TALKING to the quest NPC (press "F") while holding those item, not dropping the item (button "4") in front of him
- DESTROYER is not playable
- main quest end on #15
- if you "fall into the ground" (trapped), Press ESC -> 1:1 -> Cannot Move -> Move Now

This is sort of another "wait-forever" title (English/Chinese version)... Original Korea version is going to have 3rd CBT first quarter this year, then have OBT, then finally launch maybe end of this year...

Oh right, judging by the trailers I watched... I was waiting since 7th July 2010...
And to be able to have a taste of the game on private server RIGHT NOW... is quite a joy
(I only realize Atomix made some English translation recently so I decided to give it a go)

just try login again, rarely it crash but I had it once just now after alt+tab too much.
you should be around level 13 or 14 after finishing all the content available in this beta client.

This private beta server is open to everyone. But currently the registration page seems to down. All the file download link yo can just get it from my post on PAGE-9 : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/902660/+160#

5570 can be a problem but should be playable as long as keeping the graphic lower.

You use the launcher come with the zip file or download from website? Always re-download the launcher from website as they might make some modification on it.
Or maybe they fixing something on the server, just try again and see.

No idea where is the server location at all. They host a lot of other games beside B&S too.

And Assassin class too, skill No.2 only 2 seconds. Swordmaster a little bit easy as skill No.1 is 3 seconds.

Aren't you guys play with Streamyx mostly? At least way better then I play with 3G...

Try check it out. Probably patch incomplate and files missing. Try extract another copy from the zip file and run with new launcher see how.

There problem with the forum, majority of people might get proxy error...

For XML error it says "Solution: There is likely an error in one of your .xml files. Double check your files for corruption or missing files. Replace them."

The thing is...
- NEVER LAUNCH the game directly by clicking the Client.exe or any exe in B&S game folder, it might break everything
- if you already ran the game with old launcher, you better unzip a FRESH copy, and run the fresh copy with new launcher
- make sure you unzip all the file without any error, on certain computer the unzip process may hang halfway (the whole computer hang) because of enormous amount of files... My laptop with 4GB DDR3 will hang, don't know why... maybe slower CPU or harddisk problem, so I have to unzip it slowly little by little.

And registration page still down, suppose. Gonna wait webmaster @ Atmoix fix it zzz

The play is rather easy, the minimap will show you red circle (mod to kill) and blue circle (item to gather). Just use these visual clues.
As for name, just match the text on quest list and find the right monster....
It just takes a little bit of time to learn the combo (you can read the page I listed on my post about combo, missing assassin skill only).

Yes, the game is Asian style from start to end... There are still several area beyond the desert I didn't go to, all the maps are Asian style. There are quite a lot of extra areas you can explore (mobs cannot be attacked for now), but make sure you bring a bunch of teleport scroll in case things went wrong / get back to quest area faster.

Blade & Soul pretty much ranked no.1 most anticipated MMO in China, I bet the western also waiting for this game badly, otherwise there won't be Atomix BnS private server exist...
The game was announce 2008? It's been 4 year...
