GUYS! Just came back from Johore!

Add me, I am an official Tubey now! Blue!!!

Many shops in Sutera are selling for RM1470, I managed to get an Avaxx set RM1380. That's the best I could get.

And AP has dropped to RM1350. Avaxx has increased their price dramatically.

My phone is charging now. Next thing to do is to get the SP.

yo finally, welcome biggrin.gif

you're staying in Singapore?

Yeah, just started working in Singapore few months ago.

I suggest you guys go buy now, grab it if it's between RM1300-1400. I believe they will either increase the price (I was quoted RM1508) or refuse to give discount.

I went to this shop in Today's, and there was this seller even dekcuf me by telling me that I wouldn't get RM1300 or get it from China. I regreted that I didn't kcuf him back.

Guys. When I open the back cover to reveal the battery, there are to Avaxx stickers. One just above the battery, top right, and another bottom left below the battery.

The warranty sticker below the battery top left is broken. What the hell... I didn't check it when I bought it.

Would it avoid my warranty?

Attached Image

On the sticker, upper part is broken, lower part is not...

What is Phoenix firmware upgrade on the first post?

I am looking to upgrade my firmware (if necessary), but there's no guide on it and Phoenix is not an official firmware it seems.

Currently having v11.0.008. Advice please.

Hi, regular users like you and me can use Nokia Software Updater to update the phone's software. Thats the safer way to update the phone since NSU will determine our phone needs it or not and the updating process is safe. It'll detect the phone's product code and load the correct software for it (including the right languages).

Phoenix software however is a service tool used by Nokia Service Center to not only update the phone but also revive dead phones and load firmware images. This tool allows you to load any software you wishes to, even ones that doesn't correspond to your phone's product code. You can also install additional language packs. But it is only useful if you know what you are doing. Any mistakes will brick your phone.

Basically both achieve the same goal but Phoenix provides more options and powerful tools for Nokia phone flashing. By the way, v11 is the latest. You can skip this.

Thanks for the guide. So i will just proceed on a hard reset on my phone now and follow this guide to start working on my phone:

Damn, my mum is unhappy that I spent RM1400 for a phone...

I AM a working adult, but then my family still comments on my expenditure. Well, I don't usually get expensive stuff or shop. But once I found a gadget that I really like, I would buy.

Man, this is my second phone only! The first one was Motorola C380 which I spent RM380 on it and used for 5 years even after it fell into the toilet bowl!

Alright guys, first problem now.

I can't disconnect from a wifi access point. Before that could. Now when I try to disconnect, it just won't.

Any tip?

LOL. you guys are funny...

But then, cos I am not usually a big spender, hope they understand lar. I am working so hard in Singapore, just get a phone to pamper myself... And I am gonna use it for few years (I suppose)...

Hate restarting the phone... Like it has something wrong. Just like how I feel when I restart my computer.

I start to like it, except for one thing (which I already knew before buying), which is the "Double-Tap". Have to double tap almost everything. Can't just be like iPhone, single tap?

Added on January 11, 2009, 11:04 pmShit, restarted it, and it showed blank screen. Could only press the Menu button or Power button to show some screen, only then back to the home screen... Scary...

Exactly, have to get something that would make us happy once in a while.

When i got my tube, first thing i did was show it off to my mum. i showed her my new phone through webcam... she was like "aiyah! buy a new phone again? how much is that???" usual mummy verbal spanking.

then i showed my homescreen to her (she's one of the contacts) and she said, "nice, when will you give it to me?"  laugh.gif

Everytime I turn my phone on, then it goes to blank screen. I have to press the Menu button only then it shows the menu screen, hit back then it shows the home Screen again.

Are yours behaving this way too?

My previous problems were solved by restoring to factory default settings, which I navigated to the Settings menu to do so, instead of typing the code.

Next questions:

1. How do I uninstall application? I wanna uninstall Gmail, it just works like shit.

2. Can I format my flash drive? Wanna clean install apps.

Thanks.

Or should I use the Phoenix one?

Please guide.

I tried, but didn't work for me.

Try the Nokia Software Updater, but that didn't work for me neither.
