don't worry...symbian is VERY user friendly and easy to learn...i never owned a symbian phone until this one either but i was able to master it over one weekend by visiting this forum...like A LOT...

might close also if AP set or NOKLA bland...haha

When I touch the bottom right section of the touch screen just above the red button, there's a strange sound like its not made properly, almost like popping bubble wrap.

Does anyone else experience this strange sound?

And no, my device is not malfunctioning.

That section still works but I prefer to check whether other ppl are experiencing or not.

okayyy....after catching up 8 pages (today alone), I would like to report that I have tested the built in map application...

I downloaded the maps over the web (link is somewhere in this thread) for Malaysia and Australia (going there in a month)...

The GPS function works smoothly as the maps are built in...I set my mode to offline so that it won't use A-GPS...Set the thing to start up as offline too...

The 7 day trial is for those who are using A-GPS to download maps over the net from the nokia server...If not, its free...

I know this cause I didn't sign up or anything when I started using the GPS...

mine took an overnight...cause i chose to dl the updated software off the web =)

so that i don't have to manually update it one by one...

yup...cause all the software they had to dl from the net...

haven't tested both yet...heh...i think it should as long as the address is roughly there...just don't expect updates on traffic info...that one needs an internet connection...

oh shit...i just activated the 7 day license when i didn't need it...oh man =(

and yes, if u want to get to a certain location using the gps, u have to pay =(

oh well...time to dl google maps =)

the auto keyguard worked fer me...but it got annoying when i had to input my password everytime...

do u know how to get complete maps of places?

cause if wanna use the GPS function, can't exactly afford to dl a new tile every time...

the camera depends on lighting like normal cameras...so if it is dark, it will have to increase the light sensitivity to brighten the photo...unfortunately, this causes the photo to be noisy thus "very blur"...did that answer ur question?

but he locked it WHEN the phone call is incoming...but if u lock it and a call comes in, it WILL UNLOCK =)

you can try google maps for mobile...i tried it...it works...unfortunately, there is no way to get offline maps...which means, to use the GPS, u have to keep on dl-ing pieces of the map as u go...which is the same reason why i uninstalled it =)

then u unlock it again?or u can always use the casing...its perfect...of course its a bit tight but after a while it will loosen...
