Am wondering if normal departmental stores start bringing in high end toys, would they make money?

Now that Isetan brought in the Star Wars Force FX, and people are actually buying it. Jaya Jusco is bringing in Yamato Batman Statues, Revoltechs, Transformers Reissues.

But Singapore used to have Bandai Chogokin before collector Toy Shops were there, but now can't find any chogokins anymore in departmental stores. Just love their 20% discounts.

Dont' understand what u mean. I don't know why Singapore departmental shops stopped importing high end toys, not just chogokins, but their price were quite good, not much difference from special toy shops.

But I wish they bring them in, at least make the market more competitive. And kids can have access to better quality toys. This is to shape their taste, so Malaysia can be a better country in the future. Stop buying cheapo toys for your kids! Kids deserve better!

Right now price are still high. I find it the same for cars, luxury bags etc.

They stopped bringing in high end toys when the special toy shops came up. Not bad Singapore toys shop service much better than here, but I would prefer to shop in departmental shops rather than smaller shops here as i feel more freedom shopping in deparmental shops. A pity nowadays they can't really offer interesting stuffs like they did in the days of Optimus Prime & M.A.S.K.

Now I go there just go to buy cloths & stuffs, and maybe look for starwars.

But I never did have the chance to go Japan and see how their deparmental store look like.
