I will be getting my foldable bike this weekend. Undecided between the Dahon Speed P8 and Hasa Minimax M1. Of course Dahon is well known but the components are just average and quite heavy at 27.6lbs. The Hasa is a not so well known brand(search on the net doesnt give much result on the Minimax M1), but offers juicy components like Ultegra rd, sram etc and weigh much less at ~23.5lbs. It also folds & unfolds faster. Cool internal cable routing. The only thing about Dahon is it's a well known brand and has been tested by many. I believe the components might break down/wear off and can be upgraded but the heart of the bicycle is the frame. Hasa frame/folding reliability is still unknown. Still the juicy components on the M1 is calling out loud for me!. Hahaha. Decisions... decisions... Btw, I ride every week(well almost) on my Santa Cruz Superlight mtb so now gatal wanna try out a foldable bike. I'm from Subang Jaya.... anyone here from the surrounding area? Maybe can go for a ride together.

QUOTE(H2D @ Jul 17 2011, 12:24 PM) great, did u met-up with the folding bike group there? Yep, I rode with Sam Choong and his gang. Very happy with the P8. Still struggling to fold the bike, folding hinge on the frame is still very tight. Btw, H2D, thanks for ur detailed explanation. Appreciate it. Added on July 18, 2011, 7:55 pmJust wondering, will the Ikea blue bag fit the Dahon? This post has been edited by Blackbird: Jul 18 2011, 07:55 PM
