hi, i tried to install kaspersky 8.0 just now.. but failed.. it says that i need to uninstall AVG first because of its incompatibility with kaspersky. and then.. i uninstalled it and restart my comp, but the same error still there asking me to uninstall AVG first...
pls give advices.. thanks alot!

Have you checked in C:\Program Files if there are any remaining folders? AVG sometimes appear under the name of Grisoft. Like how Norton appears under Symantec.

It's also recommended that you do a disk cleanup after uninstalling a program to make sure that their are no left over crumbs (temp files).

DISK CLEANUP

Step 1: go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. Click on it to begin.

Step 2: After it starts calculating space, it will ask you where do u want to clear. Choose Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files and Recycle Bin just for the heck of it.

still the same ler.. i already run the disk cleanup ler.. ended up still the same.. stupid avg

u try delete the grisoft folder, see can or not.

There are to registry address for AVG u need to clear then kaspersky can be installed.

regedit...clear all avg type doc
