I checked on my Task managers and found 8 svhosts running in the backend process. I knew some are belong to Windows services but cant be all 8?! And each of it consume quite alot of memories... ard 3 to 5MB each
I tried to stop 1 by 1 and found 4 will not cause force-shutdown. Only svhost tat run for Windows service will force shutdown if we stop it.
I run my Kaspersky Antivirus and scan, no virus found. So pretty sure there are some programs using that service. But how can i identify it?
Anyone got suggestion?

Try using Process Manager.
Google for it.

Install the Task Manager Extension and it will identify each and every program related to each and every item inside the Task Manager. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(takeshi99 @ Jan 8 2009, 04:06 PM) I checked on my Task managers and found 8 svhosts running in the backend process. What windows u r using? It is normal to have 8 svhost. Look at user name in task manager, make sure it is not from ur user account.
