New Member Junior Member 5 posts Joined: Apr 2008	What i think is that, mattel and retailer do not care what collectors think? i mean how big is the collector market in malaysia? Do retailer even know what cars are in those cases besides thunt? They buy in bulk, if mattel gave them a buy 2 case free 1, u think they wont jump on the wagon. If Mattel wanna clear stock, they just gave those incentives to retailer, and those retailer would just buy the shitload of them cases and put in storeroom. Sell fin then replenish. if stock not moving, no prob, do promo lo.. cause they already get so many free cases of cars from earlier on. They still wont rugi. They wont gave a danm if we collector cant complete the series. Why should they? $$ comes 1st in the business world.. just my few cent.. unless they can proof me wrong and do something about it.

To be fair to the big retailers, the person in charge just need some input on what sells and what not. Without big retailers buying from them Mattel's market share will be eaten by Hasbro etc. Maybe I should write this thread's URL in the suggestion box to let Jusco know what cars are hot? P.S: I just realized, I dun think the staff is that stupid bout HWs, otherwise why C4 MV got ghost that steals T-hunt? Maybe they diam-diam to marketing or marketing overrule them? I think most "GHOST" only know what good when collector ask them bout those cars, else dun think they know shit. Let says alot of ppl go and ask them bout THUNT or Ferrari or even BEETLE, they would be curious and they would start asking questions or maybe ebay. BAMM! those are hard to find or rare.. take opportunity lo, sell higher to get some pocket money. Next round, order more cases to scalp those thunt and other cars and leave the rest to rot. What do those guys cars, stock pay by the company, if cant sell not their prob, they just wanna get those THUNT and sell. Maybe this is their mentality when they know how to scalp thunt. To me, the person in-charge in purchasing should know abit about the product they bring in and not just what to bring in.

Added on January 10, 2009, 6:34 pmTRU 1U got 50 cases DK WAVE! apparently those collector 4-5 of them went there to SAPU all the DK as well as the FASTBACK.. so that it.. no need to TRU 1U for those 2 cars. Prob is they go in group demand the manager to open the cases for them. I wish i know who they were. So that it all them gone liow.. Scalper or no scalper, collector or no collector. its really not healthy to do that... end report.. u guys wan confirmation can go there and ask those green or red shirt staff bout it.
