do you even know how hard it is to pirate a game outside asia?
especially in the US where most ppl are not that IT savvy?

Erm piracy in the US is easy. The only difference is that games aren't openly sold, so you have to download or whatever.

The only reason piracy is less rampant there is because of economics. A single 8-hour shift at McD's and you can already buy 1-2 new games, if the ratio for game prices here in MY is similar, we'd have a hugely low piracy rate too.

[edit] not to mention game rentals ... when I was there I had a gamefly account, can't remember the price anymore but it was ~$20 a month for unlimited 2-games-at-a-time rentals. What's the point in pirating when playing original is already so cheap? But now back in MY ... zomg, 160bucks per game? That's almost 2 days of a starting salary for a degree-holder ...

its only possible for movies (1 hour)...
my fren tested it and a one hour show is 9gig!!!

I've seen dvd-9 pirated discs at a shop near my house. I don't think it's real HD, probably a rip of some sort (lower bitrate for the video or audio or both). I mean, quick google shows that blu-ray pirates of the caribbean is 46gb ... if you full copy to dvd-9 also need 5 discs, hehe.
