I read in some website that Arsenal wanna buy Matthew Upson (ex-arsenal player also)...Arsenal offering 5 million plus Bendther...Good deal ?

Hi realman long time no see !.... Anyways, i am getting fed-up with this Arshavin transfer saga...Hope Arshavin just buys out his contract and comes to Arsenal...

This Arshavin transfer saga has been going on too long...Its the same story like the previous transfer window, same player but just that its Arsenal who has to play the waiting game instead of Spurs...In my opinion, i don`t see what the big fuss is all about, Arshavin was a nobody before the EURO games. He just stood out in the Russian squad because he was a "big fish in a small pond"...The Russian squad are average players at best but they have excellent team work & chemistry. Arshavin was their superstar, can he be a Arsenal superstar ?....I doubt it. I think Wenger is buying Arshavin to eventually replace Rosicky, I think Rosicky and Arshavin are similar players. By buying Arshavin, Wenger would probably allow Nasri to partner Fabregas in midfield while Arshavin plays left wing...Also, because of Arshavin`s versatility, he can also play as striker when needed. I honestly think we need a holding midfielder more than we need a player like Arshavin but then again there is a reason why Wenger is the boss...

Yea exactly....Dudu and Rosicky(if he ever fully recovers) can play left wing, also Dudu can play striker and Rosicky can play attacking midfield...So why buy Arshavin ? What we desperately need is a player like Viera or Gilberto who can hold the midfield allowing Fabregas to go forward and attack...We got good midfielders like Fabregas, Diaby and Ramsey...I am not too sure about Denilson...Problem is these guys are attacking minded players, so there is no one supporting the midfield line when they attack...Thats why we get pressured on the counter-attack...Just watch carefully the next Arsenal game, when the players go forward there is a noticeable hole in the center of midfield which opponents like to use....We need a defensive midfield !
