headphones are meant to be stereo, they sound better in stereo, have better sound stage in stereo, have better positioning in stereo. everything is just better in stereo...and for the love of god.. leave the audio hardware to audio companies.

first of all next time be rajin abit and edit out the things u dun wan to quote.. like the picture...


secondly... with stereo headphones, u get better driver placement. and u can utilize bigger drivers... stereo headphones can emulate surround sound better than those so called surround sound abominations.

with 5.1 or 7.1 crap... the drivers are so small... and theres so little space for proper placement u can barely get good positioning.

and FYI... the G11 is old.....

its so old that its been out of production for quite sometime already....

no G18 ler bro....

the G19 was wrongly labelled as the G18....so G19 is the correct name for the new keyboard...

im thinking of getting the G13 actually....for office..not for gaming.

tonnes of macros on it will really help with my syntax writing

if RM535 is considered as "whopping" for you....and since ur looking for 5.1

id recommend the Edifier R501 MK-II. best bang for buck speakers around...

so bang for buck that i bought 2 units... 1 for gaming PC and 1 for HTPC

jimmy....yeah i know what u mean with ICE... but in terms of bang for buck 5.1.. the r501 is hard to beat. Logitech's good speakers are usually rather costly like XiuKeong's 2.1 @ RM400.

PC Fair should have logitech and altec lansing and also edifier there. id suggest finding ones thats within ur budget range and audition them 1 by 1...although id recommend going to ALL IT (LYP, Ikano, digimall whichever is closest to u) instead (while PC Fair is running) so that ambient noise of people and other speakers blasting wont disturb ur auditioning and so that u can hear each speakers properly and hopefully able to identify the pros and cons

I was actually tempted to get the g19...but didnt wanna end up spending all my cash...was also tempted to get the g11 (yeah they still have some in stock) but decided not to waste money...would rather spend it at a strip club..muahahahaha

i also saw someone already bought G13 in buy club....

i think ur the only one la chief.....mine still ok after my long hours of heavy usage (especially in the office)...

mebbe urs is non-airconditioned environment?

oh ya hor...forgot urs is the 1st gen...

bomber and my office G15 oso got rubber coating wat... but not so much la...

my MX518 oso is the 1st gen 1600dpi. still no problems...

guess urs was made before they re-discovered how to do the rubber parts
