yah it's actually a manufacturing defect, not volume adjustment problem. firmware cannot solve. must send in shop to repair.

you know what...I think the AP sets are cheap cause they are faulty...or something must be wrong with them...I mean think about it...why would it be cheap?think about the import costs, the original cost...reminds me of THE REJECT SHOP or F.O.S =p

mine is a blue tube, everything seems to work fine, except the battery, when fully charged, seems to last only 8 hours. is that normal? i use gps + wifi + video calls + watch videos + listen to music.. if the battery cant take all these drain, they should put a big warning sign or alert on the box/pamphlet/website/manual then, since the phone wont work as advertised = as a mobile connected multimedia device..

Most battery operating time ratings are calculated within controlled conditions and minimal usage. It is industry accepted practice and they do have a clause that says battery operating time is highly dependent on mobile networks connected and your usages. A heavy user will naturally deplete the battery faster than a light user. Connecting to 3G networks will deplete your battery faster than on conventional networks like GSM/Edge. Also our mobile networks require the phone to respond every minute compared to foreign countries' where they have more network towers and does not require our phones to keep searching when we travel from one cell coverage to the other. Near-far phenomenon will also affect battery performance. When you're further away from a mobile tower, you phone is required to transmit in higher power than when you're near a mobile tower. A lot of things count.

Unfortunately, using GPS, WIFI and video calls are prime battery eaters. They use a lot of power. The phone is a multimedia device as it has all the features to cater for that. But it doesn't mean it is a LONG LASTING multimedia device or a GOOD multimedia device (depending on how you define GOOD). Read the fine prints, bro. wink.gif

Item 3 seems to only happen if you don't have enough signal strength or weak signal from radio.

but if you insist to have a problem, i can't download certain apps over WiFi
seems to time out quite easily, but it can also be due to server more than anything else

Did anybody buy the phone after the official release. Any problems with the phone even after it's official launch on Friday? I want to change my phone soon but I want to avoid all the hassle when I buy this one. Even if there's a second batch, any news from Nokia when it'll be out?

Bought yesterday. IMMEDIATELY reaching home noted earpiece problem.. now got 1 line of DEAD PIXEL at top left sad.gif BTW: red avaxx unit..

Not to mention no iSilo or acrobat reader... didnt change phone for 2 years as thought none was worthy of kicking my k800i and Palm Tx combo...

Also my first Nokia... have been a SE man for as long as I used phone (started from Ericsson!)

Now must go visit Amcorp...
