EDIT: Try this first: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307545

do you have your Windows CD with you? if you have, you can try

Run... > cmd > sfc /scannow

this will repair your essential Windows system files from the CD

maybe...you can use system restore back to previous setting, maybe about 1 week ago setting?
