Any1 had sent their phone to Care Centre to fix the earpiece problem? How long did it take? How they fix the problem (bend or unbend?) Which Care Centre?
I'm thinking of fixing it myself using the Russian way, since I'm a techy myself (not phone, but general), yet still hesitating...  Scare later break something and things get worse...

anyone help me with 1 - 1 replacement.. i bought at atlantis and found out my unit is defect. the earpiece problem and the loose joint within the front cover and body.. its not just light leakage, but the joint is loose so that u can press it feels very loose.. can i just send to nokia service center and ask for replacement? or i go to atlantis?

Yup, have been running for weeks without a single problem. During the first few days of ownership, I ran into problem installing incompatible software but after I got things right, it has been 'on air' till now. 

I found out that it is 'almost' impossible to brick the phone. I found some procedures to flash the phone in dead or non-operating conditions using Phoenix provided you have the firmware package. The firmwares are distributed by Nokia to its service centers and are available in an installation package. The package will hold the base firmware, configuration for local telcos, etc.

Have yet to try it out  I thought of not wait for Nokia Software Update to update.

something happen today which was weird.. I was the lucky one because my 5800 did not have the ear piece problem..but i think i have some kind of firmware bug..

Today as usual i was receiving calls via my 5800..by the way i was in my car using the stereo headphones..to answer calls.. cos i havent got my bluetooth set yet. Anyways... suddenly phone goes berserk.. the phone start making noises like it goes haywire..like a sound like spoil robot.. u know..kinda like random digital noises..very loud indeed..me and my soon just look at each other and basically said WTF?????

it was damn weird.. i cant stop the sound either except opening the battery cover and removing the battery...

Yesterday also while my son was playing bounce the phone hang!!!

Anyone had a similar experiences..?

Not to say i'm helping Nokia out since it is misleading if you just read it at face value, but it did not exactly say you can download up to 1000 songs. it just say 1000 songs for you to download, which can easily mean 1000 songs for you to choose and download within your given quota.

Is this phone stable?
Price dropping like flies... even cheaper than N85 now...
