Hello there everyone..This few weeks, I had my friend bringing me a new Levis jean and ought me to sell it out at forum. But,

i am not much experienced in Jeans and all. already googling about the fake and authentic jean..but still i am not too sure...

there is so much too learn in a single week..here my question:

1. Wut is Capital E and Big E differences? And wut distiguished them from any ordinary Levis jean?

2. How to spot stonewashed etc (the color thingy)??

3. Anyone know exactly the difference between Authentic n Fake Levis Jeans?? I had some info of em but think not enough..

4. Im kinda confuse about the model in LeVIS lineup.. they have 501, 511, 562 etc..and wut the difference between all of em (in term of quality)??

5. Ive heard that much country acquiring license for mass production of LeViS jean..some says the jean made in western country is much valuable
than one made in asian..Why the price tag between original (San Fransisco) and other country is so obvious??is it they make the jean using other
material of hi quality??

1. big E is a short form for the range of jeans made with the big 'e' in the levis.. means LEVIS instead of LeVIS ...... google 'big e levis' then u wil know the history behind it.

3. stitching, the back pocket label thing...

4. those numbers are actually the cutting. quality wise has nothin to do with the numbers. just the cutting (straight, slim straight, bootcut etc)

5. this im not sure, but some of the levis lines use diff type of denim.

thats mean, the model no meant to differentiate each model with vary cutting right..

but if you compare the price for US LeVIS with other country LeVIS, it seems so obvious where the US LeVIS might reach to $200+ dollar US??

BIG-E is type fabric cotton for levi's..BIG-E only have for levi's 501 XX (full spec or not)
this cotton is really nice n little hairly..last production for this levi's is 1986..this levi's also in one type for LVC (Levi's Vintage Clothing).

Capital-E is new levi's design, i sure not sell in malaysia..types of Capital-E is fomous is Skinny LOT 511 or 512..for me..this levi's same wit 505,517 also..

For last question..yes the material is diffrent..because levi's made in philipines is so poor quality from made in usa..but this original because it's underlicend levi's san francisco..this is strategy company to low of cost for production..because firstly material can get a low price, can pay labour is cheap compare in USA..

One more this, for another country like japan, procdure a diffrent type and patern levi's but still LOT Number has same what USA procdure..
take a look 501 USA and compare 501 Japan..but now in boutique, all 501 are come from Japan not from USA yet..last production from USA is 2001..

i dont know how to spot fake Levis.. so to be safe i always buy it from Levis store.

still..nobody know how to check either the jean using bleaching, stonewash, overdye and etc??kinda hard to spot them...

For me..Levi's Store also have a fake one's..huhu..because levi's since 2003 a poor quality..

Levi's X Fragrament or Fenom only product by Levi's Japan...that one's is collobration levi's only..levi's fenom follow measures levi's LOT 501XX and 503XX or LVC. Also can talk carrot shape..

The Fenom is ugly (IIRC), I don't know what the hype is all about. To each his own.

coz the cheapo jeans i bought at uptown/pasar malam all are buttoned..
while jeans (not levis only) that i bought from retail shop/boutique are zipped..
i personally dont like buttoned jeans..

i have both with zipper and button fly...and they are authentic because i bought them from the boutique, and they cant be fake, or else Im scammed lol

hard to say. nowadays retail store also sell fake stuff. worse of it they sell it at original price

one obvious and easiest way to spot fake levis is the button at front...
every levis button should have number embedded at the back part of the button which make it looks out of shape..

err... there's a lot to see, but... this should be the easiest one

for levis.. if u bought it in Malaysia.. try to see at the back of button.. there will be a triangle shape stamp.. its kind of number or alphabet.. i do not remember what it is..

The above picture is a fake 501. (one of the dude here selling in forum).

From the patch you can tell the horse (almost black) is like duplicated and the lines are not fine quality.

The second part is the belt stitch, should be on the line like this ==|_|== see below picture original 501.

yup.. ur levis is an authentic one.. basically for those who bought from oversea.. the tab should be showing the ID number of that particular jean..

imo, for local purchase, the easiest shud be just by looking at the zip fly itself...if fake, normally it's with 'YKK' punya zip brand...if it's confirm ori, it shud read "Levi's" liddat.

if purchase from oversea, ori version normally there'll be bar-code-thingie number on the inner side of the jeans.

just my 2 cents.

hmmm i just checked my levis, yeah its written Levis.. are you sure the fake ones have YKK writings on them? nowadays these "fake" ppl quite advance lol..

My versace jeans have YKK writings on them. Don't know bout you all, but YKK zippers never failed on me. They're really tough!

a lot of bundle i mean..

It is so many ways to spot fake or ori levi's
and ill share some of the tips...maybe any1 can add more of these..

it is easy to spot 501 levi's by checking the button..
it is never 501 levi's come with zip..all come wif
buttonfly. ive never saw 501 comes wif zip.if u guys
seen zipped 501 anywhere...just tell me...it was superdupper rareee!

and the number at the first button got number which is exaclt
same wif the care tags inside.. if 555..reproduct, if the number
start wif J surely it comes from Japan.no 501 comes wif
501 number at the back of the button..if u noticed..
the colour of the button must be silver while if it is copper..
the button is for 505 levi's...
the rivets at the side of the jeans is a must for levi's.
rivets at the back-pocket is a really vintage levi's.
u can see at the back of the rivet got rounded line...
dunno how many lines and got words on it...
likes LS Fs & forgot lah...

a lot of patches u can see nowadays either it is made
ffrom malaysia,philipines,china,japan or US..
some of them r paper,leather..if u noticed wrong spelling..
so it is fake lahh..hahah

there's so many ways but.. i dunno how to explain more..
may be levi's didn't post how to distinguish this due to..
keep this secret to avoid more fakes AAAAAA levi's.
so we still have chance to spot it is ori or not..

Anyone know how to differenciate fake Levi's 512 ?
I just bought one from Official Levi's store but scare they exchange a knock off for me.

There's no code on the top button and inside it's written Made In China aswell.
For the patches/leather tag , the colour seems like glossy brown instead of worn leather brown.

Please help.

I recently bought a Levis 512 from an official Levis store but I'm not too sure if it's original and I'm pretty scare they take the knock-offs for me.

fenom easier to check the authenticity..

because the fake ones are really terrible quality even those AAA fakes..

but in term of quality...
i think older levi's are more durable...

agree wif u.. there is low quality for levi's which in malaysia's store.

hurmm.. i have no idea about ur rivet.ive never seen the line only.But if no line but the wording only is correct...
better check this first.the code at the button must exactly same with the tags inside.

button & tag show same number.should be ori right? everything else looks like ok.

look alike the original one.We call dis Levi's HongKong. Thailand imitation

Ive seen levi's hongkong before...exactly the same when u look
at on the outside part.. the faded,the colour..but if u check carefully inside.. u'll notice..no words or
line at all at the rivets,and no number at the button.. they sold this kind of levi's

Not so sure about that bro.for me turkey and poland made is kind of soft,cool and nice.i like it.uk fabric is ok but a bit rough but the workmanship not that good(poor).us fabric rough,hard and good workmanship.maxico fabric same as uk but better wokmanship.tunisia 607,750 pakistan 751 india 505 also good.very hard to feel the deference but it slightly deference

overall i think its depend on which market they get in.they need to make some changes depend on market need.i have nothing to complain about levis material,comfortable and wokermanship.except for uk workmanship,not good enough.Anyway deferent people have deferent taste.everyone got they own opinion.

For me where the levi's made gimme some impact since i love
the Japan or US levi's.Some say it is hard to get Japan levi's
because they only made their jeans stricly for their market only.

Lol...if u google...YKK is a large zipper manufacturing company la...but den in their site also states got counterfeit YKK zippers...haha...

u can see either it was YKK (not sure) or TALON ..
most Adidas West Germany training jacket also comes wif YKK zip..

u can always check the cutting code at the patches outside (brown colour) or the tags inside..
fenom is the designer levi's brand. Most of them are crossover designer (correct me if wrong)

if you get to know its a fake.. you'll be sad.. and nothing can change that fact.
if you know its authentic, you'll just be contented that you've spent your money on authentic items.

why not do yourself a little favor..
take to believe whatever you have bought as authentic items..
then its always money well spent..

There is some secret folding technique to actually authenticated whether the product is ori or not. It is rather hard to demonstrate, but you could try to ask the senior/fanatic sales person to demonstrate. Hope this help k

Hi guys, sorry for bringing up this post. Need to clarify whether the jeans that i recently bought is a fake or authentic levis. Bought it at a Jusco Levi's store.
Isn't there suppose to be a Wxx Lxx on the brown patch?

is it normal for the pic on the patch to wear off while the lot number waist size and length is still intact? (M505 made in malaysia)

In metro point kajang sell levi's from philipines..501 only RM 100..authentic..only sell dockers..there are levi's and dockers oulet..

501, 511, 524 are the cuttings.

501 - is the original levi's jean cutting
511 - relax cut i think
524 - skinny

not really sure....forget already...i used to work part time at levi's

but u can check out at the store itself....u can read the info or ask the sales assistant to more info on the cutting
