those files in 1GB are highly compressible, thus with compression it's able to be compressed down to 200MB ...
in my case, i compress my Outlook 2007 PST (~750MB) --> ~100MB only ... sweet |

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Jan 12 2009, 10:00 PM) Agree, I don't know how to use 7-ZIP, "yet". ok, i have a *special* gift to you all I'd recommend WinRAR to compress/archive your files. Please remember that files/folders that've already been compressed/archived can't be re-compressed/re-archived. They can only be un-compressed/un-archived. Hope you understand my point. Presenting SFXMaker I've been testing this for quite some time, it's a GUI interface that lets you create self-extracting archives using 7-Zip. I'm not using it anymore because it doesn't support advanced compression switches (used in command-line). enjoy! Attached thumbnail(s) |
