xbox 360 noise is always loud.... thanks to the screaming DVD drive.

You have to bear with the sound OR DIY a water cooling setup for your beloved xbox 360 then add dampening material to the DVD drive.

Er, mine 60gb.. well, the first week was a little bit loud, the next day, i barely hear it, + when update to NXE, the console didn't get hot even after 3 hours wohoo~
Um, for pros and cons, here's the link Click Here it even compare between 360 and.. zz console.. wkakak the link kinda old. Anyway, the arcade version is just the same as other version. It only lack of HDD and the ability to play old xbox games(not 360) i guess. I know that the new cpu architecture on jasper effect the power consumption. does the power consumption will effect the heat? so that's why jasper should be less chance of 3rod, is that right?

Well,my jasper is one week old and it freezes a lot when i play Fallout3 or Saints Row2,have to restart the console everytime

That's just crazy. Even bummers and jobless people won't do that under normal circumstances.
Mine is a Falcon and the longest that I've played is like 15 hours or more. Of course I had lunch breaks and all. The longest non stop run was like 7 hours I think? Just FYI the game was Oblivion... and a little bit of GOW2. |

no, The base did not take much air actually but instead the vent infront of HDD enclosure.
I think vertical position is recommended...jsut look at NXE loading logo & the on/off logo |

There are a few rare cases that actually happens when you are updating.
I had one console (very long time ago) which updates then after restart it shows the dreaded 3 RROD. But its not an error 0102. ITs a totally different error (Which I Forgot )But odd thing is, once a blue moon, I found the console (last time don't know where I kept) and I just put my hdd (with the latest update) and guess what ? it boots up and ask for an update, then after that it works.. odd.. |

as i saw in other threads, there are ppl who has a jasper arcade with 120gb hdd. but the thing is, the shop i bought my jasper arcade said, not sure whether the jasper arcade can support 120gb anot. but 20gb for sure can. cuz i've got a good offer on the 120gb hdd. another thing, i just can't seem to find ppl selling these harddisks, cuz im trying to find used ones. either that, or they are selling way too expensive. regretting not buying the jasper pro. you cant eliminate it completely. but Refering to the GPU problem that caused 3RRoD, it's solved based on the manufacturing yield which is now about 97% compared to Falcon's 90%

Usually a genuine RROD takes a few seconds for it to happen. Around 8 seconds. This looks genuine. He even showed us the error code by holding down the CD tray button and sync button.
Also, I've heard that a gamer in Malaysia have already experienced RRoD with his new jasper unit. Is it true? So, how are we going to go about with the Civil Class Action suit against Micro$oft? Do we have a lawyer in the house with 3 or more RRoD xboxes? |

Original Arcade Jasper unmodded SG set is only SGD 325 (RM 763) in Singapore, why is it so expensive in Malaysia RM1180 & Japan set (need converter sumore)??? Even though malaysia is modded, hard + soft mod is rm100 each or free.
Is the market so uncompetitive that sellers can control the prices? We make less money than most countries yet even TV games we have to buy at a premium price? |

I just bought a 2nd hand xbox 360. The seller claimed it to be jasper set. But its kinda suspicious cuz it uses 256mb memory card. But the power connectors look like jasper sets though(not sure). Any idea?

it is a jasper set i presume...but the problem is when i loading a game,there's a loud noise come from the machine... is this a common problem ? |

with the latest dashboard update it will allowed u to use a usb stick to perform as a memory device.
each slot can detect max 16GB oni.so u have 32 GB for both usb slot. only 1GB+ thumbdrive can be use as a memory device. or u can buy the xbox360 HDD ( 120GB or 250GB ). how to install: 1. need to off the autoplay for disc inside the console setting. 2. insert your game disc 3. after the disc been detected press Y 4. select the option ''install game into HDD'' 5. let the console saving ur game into the HDD.approx it will take around 10 min to install into the HDD.not sure how long it will take to save on the memory stick. 6. after finish installing.u can play the game as usual. pls take note that you still have to put the game disc on for the recognition purposed. now u will experienced game without any annoying sound from the dvd drive. |
