I'm afraid I do not know how much it will cost. sleeve alteration would cost you RM90.
Anyway, I visited Peter's Tailor in Amcorp again, to finally commissioned my first bespoke suit. Peak stitching, train tix pocket, surgeon's cuffs, are all in.

The guy that I met the other day was his son, but today I met Mr. Peter himself, and yes, he can do full canvassing. anyone here want to give it a try? He quoted a very reasonable figure for CMT; basically, he said that whatever I am paying for fused, just double it. So I pay RM480 in total, for workmanship (RM430 basic + RM20 for surgeon's cuff + RM20 for train tix pocket and peak stitching). So, RM960 for a full canvass, anyone? smile.gif But that might be because most of my office mate commissioned theirs there, too, hence the special price. Maybe.

Is it worth it to double up for full canvas considering how the fused nowadays can sometimes look good?

Planning to get a tailored suit..It'll be my first. Many things to read up on

I went there check it out.. I assume its Peter who served me because he was quite old.

Anyway he showed me some Italian wool and quoted me a price of RM1.1k with that material. The feel of the material so-so only then I asked if there's anything slightly better.. He bring out another sample and said it cost RM5k for a suit sweat.gif.

So I went back to the RM1.1k material and ask how much if I want pick-stitching and surgeon's cuff. He replied it's free. Then I asked for full canvas he doesn't know what it that. After a while he said "Oh, you mean hand stitch inside?". He said it costs additional RM500 because they have to send it outside for people to do. And he goes on to mention "In 10 years I do business here got nobody ask me for that. In KL I think only got 10 or so people who can do full canvas stitching". In the end the last line made me rethink doing it there and left. Very dishonest since milosevens mentioned he just commissioned a full canvas suit.

After that went to Esteem tailors in PJ. The guy was pretty alright. The suit on display looks good as well. He showed me some nice soft Italian wool and quoted RM1.3k. Pick-stitching and surgeon's cuff are additional RM50 each. Then I asked for full canvas and he told me canvas is no good. Doesn't drape well on the body, which is the exact opposite of what I read online. He said his material is much better than canvas (starts with an M can't recall). I left without commissioning the suit because I'm confused now rclxub.gif. I don't know if I should take his words for it.
