No thin stripes, no small ginghams. No checks at work. No green. Yes to pink.

Added on June 19, 2010, 2:46 pmI went to a new alterations seamstress today. I have no convenient access to my old one because I moved house.

It was like my first two visits to ALT. She argued with me about everything, that bloody hag. A tip to you tailors out there: When a guy wearing a bespoke shirt and bespoke linen trousers and English welted shoes step in, do not argue with him about how long his T-shirts or pants should be.

I swear she added 0.5" to my pants. Bloody hag.

Added on June 19, 2010, 2:51 pmAlso, the workmanship is as bad as f***.

2 Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirts and a Tommy Hilfiger navy chinos. I really like the chinos.

I thought so too, but your influence is too strong on me. Besides, they're 50 bucks.

I was looking at them. The waist size was right. They were slim fit, even more so than my Padini off-whites. But they were navy. "But Lokechai is having one made. And look at all the piping and the luxury waistband. And when was the last time you felt such great cotton twill? Such great pocketing fabric? Split waistband? For 50 bucks. You'd be crazy not to buy them. Lokechai would have done many indecent things for this."

Ah Kot,

I just rediscovered my grandpa's shirt. Yes, the one on your avatar. His high density stitching is out of this world. With over 20+ stitches per inch, he didn't beat AL but instead he squashed him flat.

Added on June 21, 2010, 7:26 pmI think he uses a sewing machine from the future.

Is it 20+ stitches/inch everywhere or only of the collar leaf and cuffs? How about the seam where the collar leaf is attached to the band? Where the cuff is attached to the sleeve? Are they coarser?

(That's a SHIRT?!! Muahahaha ahahahahaha hooohooohoohoahoa)

No, nothing. whistling.gif

You should check. See if there is a hidden seam just below where the cuffs attach to the sleeves.
