I'm no tailor but I can sew buttons. Does that mean I can stay there? Oh and I know the traditional differences between a poplin and a broadcloth. Surely that's the kind of thing they would talk about in a tailors' school right?

Hi guys.
Gone thru the thread and I got 2 questions hoping you guys can point me to the right place

1. Bought a suit from Sacoor Bro. Fit nicely top, for me at least, but pant needs slim down the cutting. Any recommendations for alteration?
2. Where to tailor a good work pants? The last time I tailor made my work pants was 15 years ago at sg Wang... Lol

Thanks in advance guys!

Tailor is around rm800-2000 depending on factors.

If cheaper, buy something cheap from H&M, Zara, etc and alter it.

Good sir, what would the budget be for altering?
My jacket needs to be altered on the sleeves and the drops..
My pants needs to be altered on the length.

Also, where do you recommend?

Sorry, the last tailor I went was Jeremy Tok, and I have no idea how much he charge to do those.

I assume minor alterations would be somewhere around RM80-RM150?

For alterations, I think any tailor would do a decent job, since its not really tempering with the construction of the entire piece.

Hey guys, anybody know where would be a good place to alter a blazer that's affordable but good quality? I need to shorten sleeves, tighten shoulders and reduce the blazer length.

I found Saraline online, has anybody tried them?

TWL proudly presents Prologue who will be visiting Kuala Lumpur for its inaugural trunk show on October 6th – 8th.

Prologue was borne out of a shared love for classical elegance between three menswear enthusiasts - Chris, Jerry and Maslow. Inspired by their travels to some of the world's best tailors, Prologue's aesthetic is heavily shaped and influenced by the unfussy ease and louche elegance of Naples and Florence with the precision and attention to detail of Japan and Korea.

In that vein, our house style features softer lines and constructions, generous revers coupled with the precision and finishing touches that can only be found from the best in Asia. Prologue is proud to offer its own semi-bespoke tailoring programme that borrows the best of both made-to-measure (MTM) and bespoke tailoring outfits with fitting garments that offer a glimpse how finished garments will look, briefer lead times, intermediate fittings for difficult body types and safekeeping of client paper patterns on file for reordering.

At Prologue we are dedicated to having you walk out looking and feeling your best. We are dedicated to offering the highest quality at great value and a clear ascension path with select artisans who share our philosophy. We are different and we cannot wait to share our passion for all things menswear with you.

Appointment Schedule:
Friday (6 October): 4.00pm - 7.00pm
Saturday & Sunday (7 & 8 October): 10.00am - 7.00pm

To schedule and appointment, please email us at twlads.co@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram (@twlads.co) for updates!
