Depends on the cost of the original shirt, you can get a new slimfitted shirt for RM50 anyway.....

Or spend RM200~ and get a tailor made shirt....

I just sent my jeans to the one in The Curve to get altered length wise. It costed me 7 bucks.
I guess the price is pretty cheap but I can only get it next week sad.gif
Does it usually take this long? And are their workmanship and quality of altering good? Its my first time trying out that shop.

Why RM50 would be unbranded? A normal brand such as Renoma, Durban etc cost around RM100~150, wait for 70% discount and you got yourself a deal.

wait till there is a warehouse sale with brands such as padini, seed, zara, etc etc.. U could get very very good bargains for office wear (around RM10-20 per piece). U gotta grab it fast!
There are not much designs to these types of clothing anyway

guys,

should you are heading to Bangkok for few days holiday or work, do drop by Rajawongse Clothier at sukhumvit for 1 or 2 piece of shirt.

My brother just did 1 piece of long sleeve @ 1200 baht.
He wanted to get 2nd piece aft collected first piece but too rush to be done.

top grade cotton and nice workmanship

Nice to hear you got good experience there.

What exactly is that top grade cotton? Hope you can elaborate.

Also, I'm more concern with the fit, how is the fit, any photo to guide?

I had experience some difficulty in finding tailor that possess real skill and good service quality. Therefore, I create this thread hoping to ask the pros here.
What I need is tailor that really good in
1) in making formal jacket and suits AND
2) alteration of all kind of clothing (jeans, shirt,jacket,etc..)
Tailor that only make suits but not altering or vice versa is not part of my consideration. I also hope that recommendation made is based on the fame of such tailor which he is well known for his skillfulness and received actual good feedback from his customers. Service quality is also important. If such tailor is really rude and unfriendly when dealing with customers, I will not give patronage to his shop no matter how good is his skill.
Hope you all can give me some advice, I am finding tailor (in KL area) to have him make some 10 formal suits and alter all my clothing in closet to a perfect fit.
Thank you.

My brother forgotten the terms which the tailor told him. However, when I feel the material it upbeat the RM200 tailor I paid in KL.
Overall evaluation
Cloth Feel: Thicker and smooth
Workmanship: seam was neat and straight

fitting wise, let me try to get 1 photo of it

Hi there, do you guys think it will be a smart idea if I take my dad's suit which is waay oversized for me and tailor it? Its quite a nice piece of double breasted navy suit and he got it done at about 1k maybe about a decade back? Were fabrics cheaper last time? If its possible for you guys, estimate what would be the value of the suit right now? biggrin.gif

Yall' would probably tell me to decide myself on weather i should or should not tailor the suit but there is one thing, im only 17 and im afraid what if, what if growth decides to be an ******* and maybe start growing again after I got the suit altered? Is it possible to 'un-alter' the suit?
Thank you!
