Never heard of them. Safe your money buddy. For 2.2k you can get a very nice canvassed suit using the tailor's cloth. On top of that you'll have spare change to get yourself a decent pair of shoes. Do check out forum favorite Ah Loke Tailor. Or even Kwong Fook Wing.

Gentlemen,

Let's not spoil the market.

Please tell us what is supposed to be a competitive price for a canvassed suit using tailor's materials. This way nobody will pay ridiculous amount of money and us customers have better idea on how much grams of gold to pay.

Hello people, I'm thinking of getting my jeans altered, at the waist because they've stretched out after some few washes. However, I don't want to go to those high end places that tailor suits for guys. Just some normal tailor will do. Any good recommendations around ? Living around Uptown smile.gif Thanks !

I think its impossible to answer the question using your parameters.

Anyway, tailor will charge RM900~1300 for a 2 piece. Canvassing usually cost RM500 more. Ofcourse it varies by tailor. This is only for workmanship. The material can cost anything from RM200 to RM10,000. So..... when u say using tailor's material, you have to be more specific.

ps : Look thru the Suiting thread for tips on material and how u can save some cost, I'm abit too lazy to repeat it again here.

I've once altered the waist of my jeans, from 30 to 28. sent it to a jeans alteration shop in The Summit, opposite GSC cinema.
the cutting somehow changed, and i stopped wearing that pair of jeans.
just saying.

It can be done. But jeans is infamously hard to work with. Get the wrong tailor and it will not come out right and u will never wear it again.

The one with a 20+ girl there?

I had a nice chat with one of the tailoring shop there.. the one with a white jacket on display... sweet girl, not overly pretentious

To my best understanding, there isn't any lady work in Ray Tailor.

The white jacket display I think is few shop away from Ray Tailor
