Hope you can help me out since I may have made a big Boo Boo in buying BluRay disc…..I recently bought official PS3 from Sony 80gb and so kan cheong want to to test the BluRay disc……I bought some bluray from HMV UK i.e. Mama Mia (for me wifey aaa), Transformers and Pirates Box Set.

Only after that I noticed that they could be region lock…
.
So my question is, did I just wasted GBP75 or those BluRays can be played on my PS3????? I really hope the answer can be favorable since if not, really don’t know what to do with my Blurays….

Thanks for the speedy reply bro…Checked the list and it’s stated for Mama Mia, Transformer and Pirates 1, 2 and 3 (all UK version) are Region Free. So it means it dosen’t matter where the BD are played i.e. which PS3 region????

If this is the case then can rest easy for now, but never know when get the BD and test on the PS3……Anyone have brought from HMV UK (Region B) before and play it on Region A PS3???? Hope can help me to lay rest on my queries…..Buying in HMV is much cheaper since got 5 BD at around MYR400. If buy in KL then sure kena whack MYR750..so save around MYR350 leh….

Btw, got some question as well, in the earlier thread there’s the rating of picture quality whereby Tier BD is the best i.e. similar to demo quality. Is there anyway to check the BD’s tier first prior buying? Are there any indication on the box or any comments if buy online?

Thanks so you're saying is Disney and Fox most prolly woudl be lock laaa....but again will need to try upfront....checked via link rawfish provided, dvd ordered by me is region free...sigh so rest on this first laa...until dapat the bd..then baru tau....huhuhu or else will have 5 BD's that cannot play wooo.....
