only carrubuttor engines need to self adjust the timing....for our car and new cars, mostly are injection and the comes with electronical chip (ECU) will change according to the engine behaviour...

so i guess ur knocking sound might be the collision impact bar..located behind of the bumper......

just do a quick testing to confirm whether its the collision bar is the culprit
1) which rpm region u experience knocking/vibration sound???....is it 1300rpm-2000rpm??
2)open ur front bonnet and slam down hard....and check whether the sound is still present....
3)does it happen sometimes??

if YES...probably is the impact bar......will tell u more if its YES

yea..betol2...makes my rims look dirty and old..

that is weird..u said the sound present even when not the car is on idle.....so high possibility is timing belt parts...

my first guess should be timing belt

slow ktak ktak ktak ktak from front wheel.Near engine.Even if i seat in the driver seat also  i can hear the sound if i lower down my window

got question for all of u guyz...did u have any problem with the petrol cover? i mean...the metal cover that can be open...coz my sis car..the cover seem stuck and hard to open and close.....

one more thing there's rattling noise at the aircond....this can be fix at SC right..which SC u guyz recommend me

There is 'tak tak tak ' sound for my 1 yr old proton persona , anyone encounter the same problem....any solution? 

Beside this, anyone solve the power steering hose clanking sound? Tat when i go complaint from the sc, they told me to remove the hose then everything will solve .....izzit true? the power steering will still runing normal without the hose?
