if u wanna get ur favourite number.. once u choose, u have to pay RM200 + RM10 stamp duty..

no.. book/buy number is totally independant.. just pick ur number and write it on the form and go to counter #1 and the staff will check the availability.. coz sometimes they forgot to cross out the number when there's already someone book the number..
then, if its available, just pay straight away at the counter.. after that they will give u a receipt stating ur particular choosen number and as a proof that u are now the owner of the number.. the number is now floating.. according to jpj law, u have to register the number to any new/unregistered vehicle within 3 months but last week i ask the officer they said maximum is 6 months b4 u loose the title to that number..

My SA called me this evening to inform that my car can be taken on Monday morning..

Didn't do much. It's actually up to their discretion. I was lucky I guess. I just ask them to try give lower rate then he said he will see what he can do. The next day I called back, loan approved already.

Then is it true that booking of numbers can only be done in slots of 2000? For eg. Let's say you wanna book 4444 but the current running is 1234. So you cannot book 4444 until the running reaches 2000-4000 slot?

Wah..350 quite pricey. I paid my SA 310 (100 - runner, 210 - number) but they missed my number on Monday.

I would have wanted to settle the number plate myself but going to JPJ is a bit of a hassle so I let the SA and runner settle it.

bro, i personally ask the JPJ officer that if u buy/book a number, u have 3 months to register the number.. maximum is 6 months.. it clearly stated on the number booking form..

nonid la.. go and ask counter #1 and see.. they not even want my IC.. just fill the number, check the avaibility and pay.. they will give u a confirmation slip.. and later after ur loan got approved and ur car has arrived, just give the slip to ur SA and he/she will kawtim everything 4 u.. my number i book on 21Aug 2008 wooh.. my plan was to buy a Yamaha Nouvo but got poison kaw kaw by my father in-law to buy Persona 
so, after postphoning my plan, after bz bz with work and outstations.. me decided to go ahead and buy Persona this month 
so, on 11th January only i register the number that i bought to my car..

if the car is already there, aspect about 1 week for the e-hakmilik and other jpj stuff to settle..
for me i pay the downpayment same day after signing the aggreement at bank (pay to the dealer). first month installment wait for the bank document to be sent to ur home.. do note that the payment schedule do varies from bank to bank.. some bank requires 1st installment upfront.. some don't

finally, after stalking my SA everyday  , tomorrow will have to sign the agreement and pay the downpayment. Next week can get the car, but silver color. Oh well, all persona nice color till i dunno to pick which color

Yes, it should be around a week. During my mum bought the blm, they need time for the banker draf to cash in, then  register with jpj and insurance company (if u let them do it for u).

Speaking of which, my SA told me my car already at the proton and awaiting for the delivery to branch that should take 2 or 3 days (he said they got system to check). So actually i'm just a bit hesitate whether should i signed the agreement and pay the dp tomorrow 

yeah jpj stuff (e-hakmilik and so on..) needs 1 week to settle..

2. Added rubber bushings to the steering rack. I thought the knocking sound might come from there, but i was wrong cos the sound is still there during cornering on uneven roads.  . Geez...why don't we write in to the Star then maybe P1 will notice and take some action. I read in another forum that this "rattling sound" is a "free gift" that comes with every Persona! Man, that sucks! Why isn't P1 coming up with a solution..hello! It's not one or two cars, man! Geez...
