Just send it to a Proton Edar SC. Not the 'Authorised SC'. Look at it this way. Proton Edar SC is like branches of Proton. While 'Authorised SC' is like franchise license to Bengkel Kereta Ah Beng. Normally, i wouldn't trust Ah Beng with my car...

It's usually like that, the 'Authorised SC' will try to charge you more for unncessary junk...the Proton Edar SC will usually goes according to the book. You can read what to change in the manual, it's all there. If it's not in there, you don't need it.

And yes, if you send to 3rd party workshop, it'll void warranty. I'll say you send to PESC.

what i really like about the car is the stability at high speed in straight line. been starting to want drive at 140kph more often. always tempted to step on more tongue.gif . so far, tested driving till 180kph once before.
cornering also feel more confident.
also like the huge boot space. can swallow my grandma's wheel chair nicely.
leather interior is nice too. many colleagues sat in my car also compliment it.
NVH is quite good. drive 120kph still not noisy.
cruise control works superbly. using it everyday  icon_rolleyes.gif

just hoping the FC will improve as my mileage increases over time.

May i ask, yours is Manual or Auto? You are getting roughly 11.x km/l, which is a normal figure for Persona AT.

I'm looking to change to an auto car, maybe next year. Persona seems like best bang for buck.

I don't think this is caused by drive by wire. I think it is common in CAMPRO engine...read somewhere before. My Savvy also drive by wire..doesn't have this sympton of RPM going up when u change gear.

Of course lar...1.3 vs 1.6.

But i heard Persona got better FC than new SAGA (or at least equivalent FC)....a lot of people complain new SAGA sucks fuel....including my friends and relatives.

A lot of Auto SAGA reported 9km/l or sometimes worst.

I own a Myvi too. btw, seriously, P2 cars are NOT driver's car. It's great for getting point A to B. But there's no fun in it. Proton ownz P2 in terms of ride and handling and comfort. I own a Savvy too, so i know. In fact, i'm considering a Persona to replace the Myvi....tongue.gif
