No don't do like cheeann said (loosen drain plug). The drain plug gasket may go out of shape and leak. Instead go to any workshop and get the vacuum for oil suction.  Just suck out a little bit till the oil is at or below max.

Usually the workshop won't charge you or they charge you only a little bit.  In case they don't charge you, be a good customer and offer them 2 or 3 ringgit for their trouble.

*

then if u're so smart then u can go round ard kl/pj n find those which mechanic got d vacuum oil suction who will only charge ur rm2-3~ rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif
if u can let d engine cool down n proper way n wrench can jus release d excess engine oil without damaging d plug gasket like wat u said~ doh.gif doh.gif

they dun care much of ur car as long ur car's engine oil shows MAX level even thou it might burn extra petrol 2 push d car 2 move ard~
they also dun realise tat extra engine oil will damage valve seals, spark plugs n crank shaft which i read sum where ard a gen-2 wit a mileage of 80-90k km broke~

No brother, I don't consider myself smart but I try my best to help those in need.

I do not know that the vacuum oil suction is rare in KL/PJ.

Here in Ipoh its pretty common.  If you're nice guy, they don't want to charge anything for minor stuff.

You're 100% right.  Hypro can still use a wrench an drain off the oil.  If he's careful enough he won't damage the aluminum gasket.
*
cuz they wan good reputation in ipoh while in kl/pj~
all they wan is max profit from customer,so it's not common many shop will have it~
if u're a nice guy at least buy them a drink[teh tarik/teh ais+nasi lemak[available in small pack wit sambal+rice+egg only] 2 help u do minor stuff lo~
as u know ppl open shop[not proton sc] 2 cari makan d~ whistling.gif

Good for you brother!  Don't DIY if you don't know how.  Just go to Ah Beng and he'll do it for you.  Don't go to SC.  They spend 2 hours to do what Ah Beng can do in 10 minutes. And then they will "send" it to another car wash (which you are not aware of) and this time come back with a dent on the panel.

Dunno how much they charge in KL/PJ area but in Ipoh, stuff like this its free or only a couple of ringgit.
*

u're so cruel 2 those mechanic~
u wan their hands 2 get burn by those hot engine oil? ?
at least la,give them ard 20mins 2 cool down a bit only release sum engine oil la~ doh.gif
i did oil change for a car which travel ard 10kms 2 my work place n after letting d car cool down ard 20mins n release d engine oil come out which is hot where u can use it 2 make 5 half boiled eggs~ thumbup.gif

I'll try to answer about LCP. Since it's lighter, I'm guessing that there will be less momentum to make a rotation. A crank pully is the piece which converts all up down movement of piston to rotation movement to be transfered to the wheels. It should be located just outside your engine block (probably near the base as this point is where the pistons are connected by the crank)

Since it is lighter, it will have less inertia (more weight means harder to move). Therefore, using lighter crank pully will make it accelerate faster and stop faster. Same concept as lighter rim i suppose. Lighter means easier to stop and fuel saving... Just my 2 cents... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
wrong concept~
lighter rims give lesser burden n make da wheels lighter n more fuel saving only~
no effect on easier 2 stop at all~

Guys, anyone know how much does OZ Racing 15" rims roughly cost and where to get in KL/Selangor?

I was looking through the site, and these looks nice to me. What do you all think if it's fitted to Persona SE? Will look good?

Dear all,

Does anyone have a photo of the "drive shaft damper"?

I really need to make sure before sending my persona se to SC. I do not want to go there and find out that my car alredy came with it.

My problem is pedal vibration during 90 - 100km while driving at 2600 - 2800 rpm.

A real life photo is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

I have try on ron 95, there is no different at all, pick up also ok, same with ron 97. The only different I can notice is "Price" tongue.gif

for the engine lube, I agree that, if they pour all 4L into the engine, it will feel sluggish, and slumber abit. So I suck out 250ml and I can feel better pick up, but fuel consumption is worst than before I suck it out. sweat.gif  sweat.gif I also don't know why

u ada pump air in2 ur tires or not? ?
