'E' symbol, how to get it off

just make sure at APN setting there put 'disable' or 'nothing' or any other irrelevant words will do...
another way is jailbreak your phone and download SBsetting from Cydia , it has toggle on or off the EDGE .. after done that , click on safari see it still connect to internet or not even 3G & WiFi are off . when i 1st bought the phone , maxis also charged me rm450+ for mobile internet data only....
