That's pretty much wat you would expect to get for walk-in price. Maybe if try push for a harder bargain can get better, but really not by much.

i just buy LX5 and its not satisfied me so much. and i think i wnat to upgrade.

why everyone opt to go to CnS instead of the father shop, foto easycam ?
been there lately and CnS is kind of and walk-in price is higher than other shops along pg road

Exactly! CnS is offered me RM1180 for the Tamron 17-50 Non-VC, FotoEasyCam & Excel offered RM1150, but finally I bought it at Megastar together with a Nissin Di622 MKII since they offer the cheapest price for the flashgun. (Cns / Hike - 460... FotoEasyCam / Excel - 450... Mega - 440...)

Yeah, that's what I did as I don't know sh1t about DSLR when I got my first DSLR in May...

Just ask around and find yourself the best price. Foto EasyCam is located below the Komtar there, there's a whole bunch of shops that sell gold...

Hi guys, may I know when Penang going to have Foto fair again? May I know where and which shop I can go and see/ touch the camera in Bayan Lepas area? In my mind, which to choose D3100 or Pentax KX. I just a normal user and not pro and also no plan to upgrade. Thanks.

You may not upgrade now but future

Nikon 3100 / 5100 suffer from No Autofocus in body so lens tends to more expensive if you want auto focus lens.
Pentax is not popular brand here

I suggest
If canon --> Either low end series or 600D
Nikon --> At least D7000 or D90 (had auto focus motor)

but do feel the body first, just my 2cent

bought 1100d from hike enterprise for 1630 exclude memory card.. although i can get 1500 at fotocam tesco tanjung pinang, but i bought here because for their pleasant service..

I think I only enough budget for D3100 which is ~RM2000. So the lens came with should built in auto focus, right? If D90, then I only can get used unit which I not really know how to check/ test. From your opinion, which 1 you will choose from Pentax Kx and Nikon D3100 which I think about in same price range. Thanks again bro.
