unexpected for bio selangor, took some qs from jps 2008 and SBP 2008. if you've done them, you should be about fine. anyways, tips are:
1. organelles -golgi -mitochondria -rough er 2. chloroplast (in JPS 08) -light, dark reaction -abundance? -no chlorophyll? -near factory 3. respiration -human, fish, compare -smoking 4. osmoregulation (in SBP 08) -ultrafiltration -filtrate content -drink little water? -importance? 5. reproduction -growth of 1st follicle -corpus luteum, effect -hormones 6. osmosis, transport of substances across p. membrane 7. adaptation of mangrove, competition (2 paramecium) 8. transpiration, lymph (formation, elephantiasis) 9. adaptation of bird, fish (locomotion), support in aquatic plants, osteoporosis and muscular dystrophy (how? effect?) |

QUOTE(kokweng1 @ Sep 9 2009, 07:16 PM) i would suggest reading up on electrochemistry, salts, manufactured substances, carbon compounds, redox and chem for consumers. familiarize yourself with concepts and possible essay qs that requires you to design expts, and then make inferences.Added on September 9, 2009, 8:29 pm QUOTE(kycj @ Sep 9 2009, 07:45 PM) Bio Paper 2 JPS Selangor thanks. just had it today too. LOL at the semen factory. xDStructure Cellular components, respiratory system of fish & human, light reaction, menstrual cycle, kidney Essay - Movement of substance across the plasma membrane (active&passive transport, hyper&hypotonic solution) - sucession in mangrove swamp , interspecific competition - locomotion in fish & bird, support in aquatic plants & one more I forgot di. Just did my paper today. Hope it helps (: looks like many are having it the same time. This post has been edited by cathaj: Sep 9 2009, 08:29 PM |

thanks for the chem tips (selangor). pretty accurate there!
1. empirical-MgO 2.periodic table-bonds 3.prep. of salts-titration, acid and carbonate 4.redox-Fe2+ to Fe3+, tetrachloromethane 5.carbon compounds-alkane (boiling pt), ethene to ethane?, ethanol?,esters 6.rate of reaction-sodium thiosulphate 7.thermochem-heat of combustion, precipitation, neutralisation 8.electrochem-daniell cell (modifications), electrolysis (uses) electroplating 9.manufactured substances-contact process, composite materials (fibre glass), alloy 10.acid-in water, organic solvent, tests for acid, shampoo (why use lime juice as conditioner) While we're at it, any physics tips? |
