Qualitative Analysis of ions
To identify the cation and anion present in a given substance.
You'll be given a substance and also colour of it [sometimes] in a common question.
I've no idea whether this kind of question would frequently pop up in SPM paper.

I've also been revising salts for few days , its quite tough tho. Have to memorise all the insoluble and soluble salts ><. Besides, questions for the analysis of ions are truely long, you may try to find it in any reference book , but i'll try to quote it from google ;D. EDIT: What is up with your MSN? you're not signed in. EDIT2: Analysis of ions is included in salt chapter. This post has been edited by Riggo: Jan 21 2009, 07:27 PM
