I have no new purchase to share at the moment and I hope I'm not disturbing the sequence of the topic.

Neighborhood incense chamber restocked at Browns.

No worry do drop by here anytime.

Thanks for sharing the link. Btw Crossover is having sales now and the Neighborhood booze reaper incense chamber is on sales too. Too bad I personally don't find it badass to procure it. I am still searching high and low for the skull radio....

The situation of Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia has seen an improvement. Thanks to those who have been religiously observing self-discipline and personal hygiene.

Perhaps in this trying period, one of the most enjoyable moments is receiving your hauls, and I happened to receive 3 shipments this week.

The first shipment is from fragrancex.com. I have been receiving false information from the courier company Janio, and the best thing is you can't find any contact number in their website to contact the customer care centre. Really ball-less! Even our Pos Malaysia has bigger balls that Janio. I am really surprised that this type of service oriented company still exists in this era.

Green Irish Tweed by Creed. Love the matte-black bottle.

Second shipment came from one of my favorite online stores. A twin-tipped Fred Perry polo-T code M3600 in carbon blue.

Please excuse the wrinkles it has been locked down in the polybag way too long.

The last shipment delivered by a courier company with balls! A set of 6 Fred Perry x Lipton x Medicom Bearbricks. This 70% Bearbricks series were released in year 2012 as Japan exclusive to celebrate 60th Anniversary of Fred Perry.

The second parcel came from a local online store, the same one that I frequent not too long ago - Crossover. I like their own duct tape.

It has a been a hectic 2-week and at the same time, a few parcels have finally found their ways, mainly due to less restrictions under the CMCO.

It is pure luxury from a niche perfumery based in Italy, Xerjoff, as if you were personally spending your hard earned money at the boutique:

From strawberrynet, this one caught me by surprise. It only took about 7 working days from Hong Kong to Malaysia.

Some Clarins (for Home Minister) and Malin + Goetz rum hand and body wash:

user posted image

Third one from a UK based online store, lookfantastic. It took ages to arrive but oh well, the price was alright with additional 25% discount. If they could ship fast enough this could be my next favourite store (after strawberrynet) for personal care products:

Some Aesop and the new Marvis flavour in black forest:

Another purchase from a local store, Crossover:

Wacko Maria x Kuumba incense sticks - Pussy Killer and Paradise:

Well, who can ever resist a pink pussy:

First time buying through Ken's Apothecary's online store. All I can say is the shopping experience is very disappointing. Just look at the packaging after spending a good RM800 for a pair of candles:

Cire Trudon candles - Josephine and Madeleine. Cire Trudon is the oldest wax maker in the world, established in year 1643. Fully handmade in Tuscany, normally comes in its signature dark green mouth blown glass with golden house emblem, they are way more premium than the much-celebrated Diptyque candles.

I also tried ordering something from Kinokuniya bookstore and I think they are the rare breed amongst that engaged DHL for domestic shipping:

user posted image

I admit I procured these just for the sake of the free shopping bags as I figured I need some new ones:

user posted image

This basically summed up the past 2 weeks mail calls:

It was at around 260 after discount if you are a VIP member.

If you can’t get the 40% discount, or they are offering you at a lesser discount (30% or something), do let me know I can extend my VIP membership to you.

I received a message from my trusted Sales Advisor that Fred Perry Malaysia was having sales a couple of weeks ago and managed to procure a couple of items during my rush visit to Pavilion KL:

I also placed an order at fredperry.com. Shipping was fast, by Fedex of course. A special collab with The Specials, in honour of the Specials’ debut album, which was released 40 years ago. Designed by Art Comes First with printed slogans on the back and a patch stitched to the chest:

Some petty, non-valuable hauls over the weekends.

A parcel from asos.com came in yesterday. Don't expect any premium shopping experience from asos but if you can seize the right moment, you get a bargain:

Gang-bang on my parcel, hmmmm.....

A Unicorn neck pillow for my little one, some Marvis, hair and body wash by Gentlemen's Hardware. One thing to note: all the Marvis sold by asos.com are in old packaging, a plus point:

This one came in today from strawberrynet.com. I was quite impressed that they worked on Sundays:

Sneak peak:

Yes, more Marvis but came in new packaging:

A family photo, loving the colour. Left are in old packaging whilst on the right, new packaging:

The limited edition Wonders of the World - I still prefer the old packaging, on the left. It has more characteristic:

It has been a fruitful week, work-wise and haul-wise.

A shipment from Hong Kong, one of the most anticipated shipments over the MCO (or CMCO) period:

Kapok is one of my favourite select shops based in Wanchai, Hong Kong. It is a walking distance away from Monocle Hong Kong, both located along Francis Yard. I used to get Cire Trudon candles, Tom Dixon candle holders and Atelier Cologne, among others from this shop:

Together in the shipment are something from Mad en Len, niche fragrance house based in the south of France, offering artisan home fragrances, candles and perfumes made with natural ingredients. The vessel is made of black iron, entirely shaped and burned by hand, like how an ancient blacksmith would forge an object in medieval age.

A couple of group purchase that I joined not too long ago, and finally got the opportunity to unbox whilst my wife was still sleeping.

On the left, Xerjoff Dhajala from the Shooting Stars collection and Histoires de Parfums Ambre 114 on the right:

I finally decided to procure a full bottle after sampling the vial that I obtained on complimentary from Xerjoff a month ago. Too bad it only comes in one size, 50 ml:

However, the real surprise was this - it came with 2 meteorite nuggets, with certificate:

A petty haul from the Ken's Apothecary in conjunction with the double points reward for members. I did mention in my previous posting that their online shopping experience could be better, but the in-store experience was superb, SAs were very helpful.

Hand sanitizers by Grown Alchemist were the best seller and sold out during the MCO. They now have it in 500 ml but I didn't procure it:

Digitization has been one of the main focus for most of the companies during this pandemic to stay relevant, and to deliver the goods and services. Nonetheless, most companies have neglected a few crucial touch points in the process of digitization. I have tried ordering something from Valiram and after an email and two phone calls to their customer service team, my order mysteriously appeared at my doorstep the next day. There was no shipment tracking number prior to this. Nothing. Magic does exist, mind you.

you should get into whisky. I would imagine someone such as yourself would enjoy it very much. I am not talking about the daily johnnie walker but more towards whiskies that are for appreciation. Those are life changing whiskies. There is a whole new world for you and everybody here to explore! PM me for details smile.gif
*
Thanks for the recommendation. To be frank, I did try to cultivate my appreciation towards whiskies. Nonetheless, I failed tremendously - somehow, whiskies is unpleasing to my tongue palate. It is a shame, I know. Due to this, I stay lingering in the wain category, and only limited to one, maybe two wine yards. I am a very, very casual drinker in real life.

Are you happened to be a whisky connoisseur?
