smashpOp, that's normally a sign of screen failure. Happen normally with laptop.
Seem like i need to hold my purchase and observe more. This first REAL touch venture by Nokia seem not really on par... |

Soft reset = revert back to factory setting. Contacts apps etc still intact.
Hard reset = wiped everything clean. Cert expired error? Rewind back time by setting it a few months earlier than current one. |

Normally contact point connection wont failed so easily. Most newer phone using this method to ease assembly and replacement later.
Maybe the nature of the touchscreen the main culprit. U touching the screen, putting pressure on the screen and thus the components underneath it. |

QUOTE(wufei @ Jan 4 2009, 11:35 AM) This shouldn't be the 1st batch. the 1st batch already goto those 7 countries. Lots of thing should be rectified bah. You got a point there. for AP sets, maybe 1st batch but ORI set undetermined. But problem with hardware normally revised in next batch/coming batch.Somemore pics All auto , Macro mode |

Hardware revision cant be implemented quickly for large volume product like phones. Remember that parts has been purchased and stocked earlier. I dont expect Nokia to throw away all those parts. A single changes in hardware design will involves a few components and not mentioning the time for testing.

QUOTE(Blackbird @ Jan 4 2009, 09:17 PM) Nope, I don't know what sensor is beside the earpiece, maybe light sensor?. The proximity sensor is beside that sensor. I tried calling and blocking the sensor beside the earpiece, nothing happens. You can try it too. You're correct. That's light sensor. But is't it that same? Sorry, i dont have 5800 yet. Dying for it... >< |
