that's a very good point..dust is a problem if we DIY and even if send to nokia maybe got dust under the lcd too..

probably so..but still cant tell as most of the users here are new..so need to wait a bit more..

but doesn't that seems a hassle? i buy the phone then wait for it to be broken then go to nokia to have it fixed..where's the fun in that?

u bought ap or ori?? if you bought ap at that price u got cheated.. if u bought ori at that price it's ok la..but still expensive. there's no offer2 la.. all tipu la..

the earpiece volume will go soft and difficult to hear when talking. it's not software problem and it is a hardware defect.. and this problem is not isolated to malaysia only.. 5800 users all around the world reports having this issue.

not to all users but at least a few already reported it..and some got the problem and didnt fix it yet.. google it and you'll find more of it outside of our country..

and a guy there said there quite a number of people reselling this phone..

try this..if it works then it'll prove the faulty hardware..when talking on the phone press it hard to your ears and the speakers will sound loud/normal and if take it away a bit from ears will sound soft again..

these are some of the users that has this prob..it's not an isolated prob..wah.. this will make things easier for me to decide buying a new phone

if want to open the phone yourself, need special screwdrivers and need to make sure there's no dust sticking to to lcd when putting it back..very hard...

heck...the problem is confirmed again.. i read the same exact problem with 5800 in another forum.. even the TS kyno has this prob and he's selling his phone for an e71
